The Ice House is a hygge-inspired vacation home with amenities of an upscale rental. Our home is newly renovated with 100 ft of private frontage on beautiful Ice Lake. Imagine your morning cup of coffee on the master bedroom deck with panoramic views of the lake. Upscale amenities include granite countertops, 4 smart TV’s, and spa-like finishes in 3 bathrooms. The Ice House is centrally located in Iron River close to Ski Brule and other outdoor activities enjoyed in scenic Iron County.

Great lakefront place to stay! The kayaks, boat, yard games, and fire pit were amazing. The in-town location makes trips to the store and restaurants very convenient.

Cute place

We had a fun stay at the Ice House. Very spacious and cute. Beautiful view of the lake. However, It was hard to tell where the driveway was because it was not plowed until the next day. A little disappointed the listed said there was a hot tub but there was not one there. Overall we had a great stay.

Hygge Inspired - Yes!

Our stay at this beautiful home was perfect. It was peaceful, comfortable, and relaxing. We started our days watching the sun rise over the quiet lake each morning with our coffee while listening to the loons. Such a tranquil setting. The 3 bathrooms were also a plus for our family with 2 of those bathrooms having luxury inspired features like 3 different shower heads including a rainfall shower making it feel like you were at a spa. This is the house we will book in the future when visiting the area. Our host, Heather, was quick to respond when we had questions and so friendly and kind.

Nicely updated on Ice Lake

The home was very nicely updated. Close to town and grocery store. We loved the view of the lake. We had a fire two nights and it was very peaceful. It just needs a deep clean. Ceiling fans were caked with dust, so much so my Mom couldn't stay there because she is highly sensitive to dust. She had to call a cousin to stay with. Also, beds were not that comfortable for 2 people to sleep in. Coffee pot and some glasses need replacing.

The Ice House is described as being designed around the Danish concept of Hygge which is centered on comfort, coziness and well-being. These terms accurately describe our wonderful week at the Ice House. Not only is the house beautifully and thoughtfully furnished and decorated to instill a feeling of calmness and warmth, but its location on a crystal clear spring fed lake made the entire experience of staying here extraordinary. Who wouldn't feel calm and relaxed drinking coffee on the porch while birds sing in the neighboring trees, loons fish in front of the dock and eagles soar overhead? The Ice House's location close to town made it very convenient to take an occasional break from tranquility to shop or dine at one of the town's fine restaurants.
