Originally built as a working ranch barn, The Barn at Kohala has been thoughtfully transformed into a modern ranch retreat while preserving the character and soul of its agricultural roots. Nestled in the cool, breezy hills of North Kohala at approximately 1,800 feet elevation, this is a place where mornings begin with open windows, fresh Pacific trade winds, and the peaceful rhythm of ranch life.

Wake in the upstairs king bedroom, pull back the curtains, and watch the countryside come alive. Horses graze nearby, cattle move through neighboring pastures, and depending on the season—and a little luck—you may spot wild turkeys, colorful pheasants, or even the majestic Hawaiian hawk (’Io) soaring overhead. Here, the sounds of birds, rustling trees, and open pasture replace traffic, crowds, and busy schedules.

Inside, you’ll find a beautifully restored two-story guest home that blends modern comfort with authentic ranch character. Upstairs features a spacious king bedroom and full bathroom overlooking the surrounding countryside. Downstairs offers a fully equipped kitchen, dining area, inviting living room, and a comfortable sofa bed, making the home ideal for couples, small families, or friends traveling together. The home comfortably sleeps up to four guests.
