Classic shingled beach home right on the beach for amazing views and access to seven miles of beach. Two bedrooms (3 beds), one bath, Fireplace, large living room, full kitchen, washer/dryer. Walking distance to town. From winter storms, to warm summer sands every season of the year is special at the beach. With repeat visitors year after year the cottage has become a family tradition for many.

Cozy Beach Cottage

Absolutely darling beach cottage! My husband and I and our sweet dog stayed 5 nights. The cottage was amazing - spotless and furnished with everything we needed for our stay. I also very much appreciated receiving check-in information well in advance of our stay.

Best place ever

We had the best time and I the house was amazing. I knew that it was stocked with many amenities but was happily surprised that they even had more than I imagined. As far as kitchen supplies, towels, shampoo, just everything. I will definitely stay here again.

This was our 2nd time at this house. The location is key as we love the ocean front. Perfect size for us and the layout is nice. Unfortunately it wasn’t the cleanest. Food particles in kitchen sink and on stove top, spare hairs in bathroom, the tub needs a good bleach scrubbing for sure. We had a bit of an ant problem. I do understand it’s a pet friendly home but lots of fur coming up from carpet. We had a lovely stay at Rockaway.

Relax and enjoy the view

Lovely beach stay

This a is lovely place right on the ocean. It was an amazing experience to hear the ocean and wake up to the sight of the ocean waves. Loved the wood stove and firewood provided that made it a very comfortable house.

Wonderful Location

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. There is nothing like being right on the beach. One of the trails to the gorgeous sandy beach was right next to the home. I appreciated the couch cover on the one couch so my dog could be comfortable just like at home. The beds were comfortable and the house was stocked with everything we needed. Loved the hammock and the chair that sat right at the edge overlooking the ocean. Thanks for the fun stay!

Perfect Beach Getaway

We stayed several nights with a diverse age group (2 years old -86 years old) and the house was great. Property was clean and view wonderful. The house had all the basics we needed. The sandpit in the front was perfect for the 2 year old especially in the afternoons when it was a bit too windy to play in the sand on the beach. We hope to stay again!

Old folks love Rockaway Beach!

Beautiful view!!! Some kitchen dishes were not clean, but a trip through the dish washer solved that situation 😉

Cute beach cottage

The house, overall, was pleasant and comfortable. The only setback was the trail to the beach. If you’re a senior I’d recommend another way to the beach due to the slippery rocks.

Cute, cute, cute

This is the second time my sister and I have stayed here! Not disappointing 😌 VERY short walk to the beach and the view is amazing, from the deck you can watch the ocean, view kite flying, all while sipping coffee or cocktails. It really is everything you need. Thank you so much for sharing your home!!

Comfy, cozy, and private.

We hadn't been at the cottage for more than a few minutes when we knew we wanted to come back again. Judging by the comments in the guest books, this is a common thought. It's an easy walk from town and right next to beach access. (A fence and shrubbery keep the yard private from the beach access.) The open living room/kitchen plan means you are in constant view of the ocean. We look forward to another visit!

Our favorite place to stay with our dog

As always we had a great relaxing time at this house on the beach. Located on the north end of Rockaway Beach it doesn't see the crowds. The home is comfortable for the two of us and no need to use the other bedroom. I applaud the owners for hooking up the TV in the bedroom. It is well stocked with supplies for the stay. Wish I had brought some tools so I could have repaired the aging fence and gate. Hope to stay here next year. Thanks, Jim & Pat

Beautiful wonderful property/incorrect charging

The property is special, great house, awesome views right on the beach~ nice yard and deck, plenty of chairs & tables outside, decent furniture inside~ plenty of towels & blankets~ they listed the price and then charge you 20$ more a night which stinks and they would not honor the listed price so that was really unreasonable and awful. Too bad because it’s a great place~ don’t think I will use Vrbo again with this situation.

Wonderful, restful experience

We spent a week at the cottage and never grew tired of our stay. The small house is in a great location, looking out over the ocean with access to the beach via a public trail next door. There's a restful love seat chair to sit and enjoy coffee in the morning or the sunset at night. Rockaway Beach is a great location with small towns north and south to explore. We were blessed with sunshine for five days and watched a storm come in at the end of our stay. A bundle of firewood is provided but we brought our own to enjoy a beach fire and keep ourselves warm in the cottage. It's a great respite for a couple and a friend or two if they'd like.

Underwelming

Location is great on the beach. The house was pretty run down. The living room furniture was broken down and uncomfortable. Kitchen was not very clean. Dirty dishes in dishwasher and stove top needed to be cleaned. Floors are uneven with soft hole under carpet in bedroom. No amenities like soap in bathroom etc.

Beach Cottage

The location is great! Access to beach is great if you don’t have mobility issues. This is an old cabin/cottage and rustic. There is a foundation issue—you go uphill to the kitchen and downhill to the living room. The bathroom needs a deep clean as there was dirt and hair on the white baseboards/mold on shower curtain. The clean towels were rolled in balls on the open shelves above the washer/dryer, extremely messy. I went and bought a frying pan for the house. TV in bedroom was not connected to cable and the fire stick didn’t work. All of this was communicated to host. This is a cutely decorated cabin.
