A hidden West Virginia treasure. This one of a kind location--once a grist mill--lowers the pulse rate as soon as you drive through the gate. Spacious and relaxing--full of rural wonder--a perfect place to getaway, to meditate, to write, to relax. Enchanting two-bedroom with lovely renovations. Plenty of areas inside and out to sit and enjoy your surroundings or to walk and explore. (Bring your creek shoes!) Also, just four and a half miles from beautiful and historic downtown Berkeley Springs.
The space
Each bedroom has a queen bed and there is a double futon in living room. Fully equipped kitchen, living room, porch, dining room. And a bath and a half.
Guest access
Guests can access all of the living space.
Other things to note
No use of pellet stove and no open fires outside.

We really enjoyed the secluded house surrounded by nature. The waterfall was smaller than we expected, but the sound of it was soothing and we enjoyed tubing in the pond. Our family appreciated the many games in the house and the ice-pops in the freezer.

Loved the privacy of the location & uniqueness of the house which was one reason we chose this place for a get away. We thoroughly enjoyed the stargazing & beauty of the outdoors. Having a soak in the tub was a bonus. We had a very relaxing vacation.

A historical gem of a property! The property owner was very welcoming and communicative. Check-in was simple and as explained. The pictures don’t do the home justice. Spacious rooms for a historic home with modern upgrades. Beautiful property overlooking a babbling stream and large pond. The property is a treasure in the rolling countryside and we’re already looking forward to our next visit! Thank you!

The setting is peaceful and beautiful. The property has a rich history. The house has a lot of quirky character and exploring it is a trip within itself. We have stayed in several places in WV but this one is currently our favorite.

Great little gem tucked away in the woods

What a nice, history rich house to stay in. You can tell it has old bones but has been maintained and is full of character. Loved the relaxing setting with the river running around the house. Plenty to explore on the property down by the water and in the woods. Exactly what’s needed for a relaxing get away. Close to town as well for anything needed. Kirsten was a great host.

Quiet stay overlooking running water.

Had beautiful views on the backside of the property, a small waterfall with a rocky backdrop. Was really peaceful. I love historic houses, the second floor was pretty updated with the bedrooms and bathroom. The first floor had all the character of an older home and some really unique features. We really enjoyed the stay and the quiet.

Incredible property. The house has pictures and articles explaining its history. It’s nearly100 years old and does have its quirks but was comfortable and had everything we needed. It was well stocked with towels and the basics which we appreciate. Now the property itself it one of the most magical places we’ve ever stayed and we tend to look for unique places. The listing undersells it. The cliff right off the back overlooks the pond and waterfall which had great flow - you could hear it from near the front door. There were plenty of places to sit overlooking the falls and the tree at the top has lights on it which was beautiful. Lounged by the falls, jumped in, and watched wildlife. One morning we saw a bald eagle perched on the rock across the falls even. It was fun to spot the cables and tie-ins for the old bridge that used to cross over the falls back when it served as a camp. I took many pictures with my nice camera I can’t wait to see along with phone pics there were just so many cool things.

A Magical Hidden Gem

This house was such a peaceful escape. The setting is super rural and quiet, with a beautiful river, creek, and even waterfalls right outside. It felt like something out of a fairytale. I spent so much time on the screened-in porch swing under the fairy lights and vines, it quickly became my favorite spot to unwind.The upstairs bathroom was gorgeous, and the whole place just had this calm, grounding energy. I saw so many birds during my stay and even a little toad hopping around one evening, which made me smile. One night I went to a nearby spot called Mythical Pizza, which was cryptid-themed, they even had cryptid themed sodas. Definitely a fun little place and the food was great!This place is perfect if you’re looking to rela, and enjoy nature. I would definitely love to stay here again if I'm ever back in the area.
