Unique home with everything you need! Every room is a visual adventure. Very comfortable beds and excellent showers! The locationwas PERFECT. A short walk to the Island Shuttle stop. Perfect for a large group. The Chart Room restaurant down the street was amazing!

The property was very nice and conveniently located. It easily accommodated a large group which was a huge plus. It also has the charm you’d expect for a rustic older home in ME, that blends well with modern amenities. The property also has the bonus of early morning deer and farm animal grazing that is another feature that made the property a great location for a group to enjoy. The only hiccup we encountered was with hot water and heat. Unaccustomed to the cold, this was difficult at night. The owners quickly came out to help with this. Otherwise, it was great and we would stay again.

The outside of the house is somewhat run down - peeling paint, very weather worn deck and furniture (cannot go bare feet on deck due to risk of splinters). Landscaping is overgrown. So the first impression was not good. However when we went inside we were pleasantly surprised- very clean and charming old farmhouse decor - we were very comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked and is roomy to fit a big group. We really enjoyed our stay at the location close to ANP and Bar Harbor.

Trish does such a nice job with communication and thinking of the items needed to make a comfortable stay. The rooms looked just like the pictures on the listing. The exterior is a little shabby but the inside is rustic and cozy. When we had an issue, Trish quickly had it repaired. It is a great location for a large group like ours.

The house and property were perfect for our family reunion of 3 generations, totaling 14 people. It immediately felt like home -- nice and roomy, with a space for every activity and every conversation. The kitchen and deck were constantly abuzz, and the bedrooms provided charming respite. The location is ideal, private and quiet while being within minutes of Mt Desert Island's attractions. And for a refreshing fresh water swim, don't miss Lake Wood ... this uncrowded gem is literally 0.9 miles from the house. Trish was very accommodating and helpful. We had the best time. The grandkids all wanted to know if we're coming back to this house "next time!"

This was a family vacation with our 3 children, their spouses, and our 5 grandchildren, ages 1 1/2-11. Everyone agreed that the property is charming and the perfect size for our needs. The location was perfect, giving us quick access to both sides of Mount Desert Island, the Hulls Cove Visitor Center and Lake Wood. It is an old farmhouse, filled with character. The uneven floors took some getting used to! Because we had small children we noticed several issues requiring attention; the decks and picnic tables are weathered and have some splinters, the dining room flooring had nails sticking up. Also the chemical smell from the cleaning was very strong when we arrived. We truly enjoyed our visit to Maine and the family time we were able to enjoy at Cider House Farm.

A 19th century farmhouse with charm, quiet neighborhood, and enough space for our family reunion/vacation? Yes, please. We fell in love with this house. Quilts on every bed, good quality sheets, fully stocked kitchen, puzzles, a selection of stuff for kids, and more. This house holds stories and we were grateful to add ours.We loved going into Bar Harbor (just 3 miles and the free bus system is awesome) but were glad for the peace in the evenings. During our week we saw a family of deer, a marmot, wild turkeys, a cardinal and a bald eagle. Our family enjoyed several meals out in town but said that The Chart Room, just down the street from the house, was by far the favorite. Trish communicates quickly and is such a kind person. She has thought of so many amenities to make your stay comfortable. Cider House Farm was unforgettable. Hopefully we’ll be back someday.

We loved this house! It had everything we needed and more. Bedrooms were comfortable and bathrooms well stocked. It was quaint and on a quiet property. Close to town and close to park entrance.

This house was fantastic! Great location for going to Acadia National Park. Very quiet neighborhood. The house is very nicely appointed and absolutely lovely. So many different areas to sit and relax or talk. Exceeded expectations. Great communication with owner.

Our stay at the Cider House couldn’t have been better. Amazing location, helpful hosts and super clean. Thank you Trish for the perfect getaway for our large extended family.

Lovely setting and comfortably large home for everyone. Great access to Acadia and Bar Harbor.

Perfect Family vacation
Amazing and spacious farmhouse
Well stocked kitchen, bathrooms and laundry room. Trish-owner was always there to assist with any issues,always available to assist .
Definitely recommend for a family vacation.

Large family
Great location! The house was large enough to give everyone space but had such a homey feel and great areas for everyone to gather.

Perfect home for family vacation
Our family had a great vacation. The house was plenty of room for everyone. The location was very convenient to the park loop and downtown. Quiet country setting.

Great Week
Our family of 15 thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Cider House. The location was perfect. We experienced an unusual heat wave but, with windows opened and an abundance of fans we survived. The property was great for the kids to play outside or inside. Lots of room to spread out. Overall our stay was great.
