The Captain’s Place is perfect for a comfortable stay, enjoying downtown, or have a small group escape. This delightful 3 bedroom 2.5 bath home is perfectly situated in the heart of Grand Rivers.

- Spacious 1900 sq ft home with 3 bedrooms, 4 beds, 2 sofa beds, and 2.5 bath

- Full kitchen loaded with all the things required to make a home cooked meal complete with a dishwasher.

Great Experience!

We enjoyed our stay at The Captain’s Place! We loved how close it was to Patti’s. The house was beautiful and came with a ton of amenities.

Christmas Vacation

We were only here for the night on our way home but want to come back for a longer stay. An absolutely beautiful property, the little touches (I.e. snacks, the bunk room, drinks, etc) were above and beyond. We will be back!

Perfect house in the perfect location

This is the perfect place! Everything in town is a short walk. House is spotless and roomy. Little extras such as snacks, drinks, and toiletries are perfect! The hit tub felt wonderful for the cool nights. We xame for a day ride at turkey bay. There was plenty of parking for our truck and tailer. We plan on making this a n annial trip and will definitely stay here again!

Fantastic Getaway Spot

Myself and four of my friends had a one night stay at this fabulous property. It was a chance for us all to gather away from our spouses and children and enjoy some girl time. When we walked into the home, we immediately notice how clean it was and smelled fantastic. As we looked around, we were impressed by the thoughtfulness of our hosts with all the little extra touches. There was tea and coffee, snacks, games, books, condiments, etc. All the little things to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The layout of the house is great and we had plenty of room. It would also work well for families with children. It was close to Patti's and not too far from the lake. It was quiet, clean, and cozy! The kitchen was spacious and the outdoor space in the backyard was well thought through. All in all 10/10 and we'll stay there again! Thanks so much!!

Great Getaway for Land Between the Lakes

The house was immaculate and has plenty to sleep up to 10 people, and the hosts of the property were very kind. Would suggest this property for anybody else visiting the area. Every location in town was within walking distance and was very convenient. 10/10 would stay here again!

Loved it!

Absolutely loved staying at this house! Clean and comfy in a great little lake town! Beds are very comfortable and the kitchen is well stocked… lots of drinks and snacks. The cold bottled water was appreciated on such hot days! Thanks- we will be back!

Family stay

The place is exactly as described. Our kids like the accomodations and we had a great time using the bags, fire pit and the hot tub. The location is right by Lighthouse Landing, we could have walked.

Perfect Friends Getaway

We booked our stay at the Captain's Place for a weekend getaway to celebrate a friend's upcoming wedding. The house was perfect for our group and met all of our needs. We especially loved having a fire pit and the hot tub as areas to relax after a long day on the water. I look forward to booking the Captain's Place again in the future for other trips to Grand Rivers and Kentucky Lake.

Lovely home in Grand Rivers!

My friends and I had a wonderful time during our short stay at The Captain’s Place! So much so that we wanted to extend our trip for an additional night. The kids loved walking around and exploring nearby; Lighthouse Landing was a hit! Lovely, clean home and very responsive owners! Highly recommend!

Perfect!

Better than we expected! Very clean and spacious. We had 2 families with kids aging from 8-20. Plenty of space for everyone with the upstairs and 2 pull out couches. Excellent location. We will 100% be retuning to this house for our annual lake trip

A Fabulous Home Away from Home!

The Captain's Place is absolutely beautiful! We walked in to a very clean and spacious home. We have a 2 year old, so we had to put up some of the decorations bc we didnt want her breaking anything. We utilized the record player with a record that we bought from one of the stores in Metropolis. We were able to enjoy every night with the kids out by the fire and in the hot tub. We had a bit of an electrical issue with the outside lights working, but the owners were all over it and very apologetic and sincere. We have 4 kids ranging from 2 to 16 and there was plenty of room for all of us. If we ever come back to Grand Rivers, there will be no need to find someplace else to stay, The Captain's Place will be our go to! Thanks for a lovely and relaxing stay!

Great location with amazing upgrades for a serene stay

Beautiful home stocked with special touches (coffee, drinks, soaps, shampoo etc). Love the outdoor seating area and spa like bathroom! Only a couple of blocks from Patti’s and the lake.

Perfect for our family!

My partner and our 5 kids stayed at the Captains Place for one night on our road trip to Alabama from Chicago. It was perfect for us! The house was incredibly clean and stocked with everything we needed and then some! My kids loved the loft area and we really enjoyed the outside area as well. It was close to food and entertainment. I wish we could have stayed longer! Thank you again for hosting us! Hoping we will make it back for a longer stay next time!

Pleasant Surprise!

This host goes above and beyond providing for their guests from bedding, towels, robes to snacks, beverages and all the amenities of home and then some. Wood was provided for firepit. Games and entertainment were well thought out. All the items needed for every situation was provided. Sticks, lighters for the smores. Towels and robes for the hot tub and bath. Cleaning, laundry supplies, cooking utensils. Tons of upgrades and so very clean. Extra blankets, I could go on! The space is larger than it seems from the pictures and even when you're pulling up outside. Everyone had plenty of space. The lake, shops, and places to eat are within walking distance. Such a quaint little town. A lighthouse and historical places to see and eat at. We only stayed one night but everyone wished for longer because they wanted to rent a golfcart and drive around town. It is one of the better homes out there for the price range! Highly recommend!

Wonderful

Perfection! Exactly what we were looking for. Very clean. Tons of space. There was 10 of us and we had plenty of room. The hosts were very kind and quick to respond. The stocked snacks and beverages was such a kind gesture. We will be back!
