Our centrally located home makes a perfect base for exploring Anchorage, as well as enjoying world-class Alaska day trips south to the Kenai Peninsula and Homer, as well as trips north to breathtaking Talkeetna and Denali. Our house is a two-story 4 bedroom, two bathroom house in a safe, quiet, family-friendly neighborhood. There’s a high chance you will see a moose or two in the neighborhood, even on our property. There is a RING exterior security camera at the front door for extra safety. There is easy 24/7 Keypad access with secure deadbolt entry. We have a private, fenced backyard lawn with table and chairs. There are 2 Queen bedrooms and 2 (2) Twin Bedrooms with comfortable beds and black-out curtains since Alaska is known for our midnight sun. We provide a convenient In-house laundry room with a large washer and dryer. Our kitchen is fully equipped with a full-size fridge, oven, stove, dishwasher, cookware, bakeware, oils, seasonings, and much more. There is a SMART TV that is already connected to Netflix and Disney Plus. We also provide fast high-speed WiFi. Please let me know if you would like to use our high chair, baby gate, and pack and play crib so we can make sure to put it out for you.

It was a quiet neighborhood with a huge bull moose in the yard. The deck needs some work and the laundry room and downstairs bathroom had a beetle hatch of some kind going on. Bedrooms were clean and upstairs was lovely. Thanks Nicole.

Family trip

We had a wonderful family trip and enjoyed our stay. It was a great sized house for a family group. Lots to do in the area. The basement was a bit damp but the house was overall clean and comfortable.

The place served its purpose. It was clean enough, but could certainly use some updates. I would call it a budget option. Communication and check in/out were great.

Great short stay in Anchorage

We booked this home for a short stay in Anchorage prior to our cruise. It was perfect for our family of 8 (6 adults, 1 toddler, 1 infant). The house was clean and had everything we needed. The host was easy to contact.

Plenty of room for family of 7, very cute decor. Nice layout, had what we needed to enjoy our stay. Great parking. Convenient airport location (air traffic noise which didn’t bother me). My biggest complaint would be the smell. Immediately upon entering the home it smelled like a former heavy smoker had lived there, combined with the smell of an old basement home. Very tough smell to get out. We adjusted and didn’t notice it as much after we had stayed a bit, but it is very unpleasant coming into the house. It’s an older home that I can see has been updated in many areas and they’ve done a nice job but still could use a few more improvements. Downstairs toilet bowl dirty and shower could be cleaner. Upstairs shower was tricky. After 3 people showing back to back, we could no longer get water pressure to shower again. Upstairs bathroom sink extremely low water pressure. No towels were available in upstairs bathroom. I had to hunt downstairs to find where they were stored. Not a big deal, but I don’t understand why they didn’t have towels in the linen closet upstairs that was empty and across the hall from the bathroom. Dishwasher in kitchen was unacceptable. I wouldn’t use it. I hand washed all dishes. Really should be replaced. Upstairs shower walls/ceiling had peeling paint. Needs to be redone. Appears to have mildew/smoke coming through. Not a dealbreaker, but seems like it could be an easy improvement for a better overall appearance. I would stay here again.

We picked this home as we needed a large house for 8 family members. We also have a granddaughter with severe allergies and this house was advertised as no pets or smoking and allergen friendly. The first thing we smelled when we walked in was wet dog. We contacted the host and was told dogs were allowed. We sent a screenshot of the allergen friendly ad and was told she didn’t know that was on the ad. We called VRBO and they offered to call the owner to send a cleaner or try to find us another home. I had already tried including hotels but with cruise travelers was unable to find anything. I cleaned and wiped down vinyl furniture and found a sheet to cover cloth couch. I washed the comforter on the bed my granddaughter was going to use. We made it work with only one emergency inhaler treatment and extra medication. The neighbors dogs run loose and twice tried to enter the house. The German shepherd knows how to open the screen door. House was fairly clean. Just a very unpleasant odor and damp (especially in basement). Mold in basement shower which we didn’t dare use.

The location was excellent, being so close to the airport for arriving and departing. Arriving and departing was easy, peasy. The only issue (and it wasn't really an issue) was that towels were left in the washing maching but since they were clean (ie still wet) I put them in the dryer so as not to mold. We didn't need the extra towels as there were plenty of other ones to use. Also, a sweatshirt and another item that were not ours, were left in the upstairs L.R.Unfortunately, the downstairs bathroom window was left open, so a ton of bugs and mosquitoes came inside, which we battled throughout our stay. Overall, we loved the stay and these arrangements gave us a very enjoyable stay in the Anchorage area. Thanks for hosting.
