Pleasant and Relaxing Getaway

We had a great time staying here. The house was as described with plenty of space to spread out. The walk to the beach was very easy. We appreciated being away from the main traffic of the island but also being close enough to get to restaurants and other activities.

Pirates Beach Weekend Stay

Lovely, well appointed, very clean home in Pirates Beach community. Was a perfect place for our family to stay for the weekend while we attended a Celebration of Life at the nearby Galveston Country Club. Large open floor plan with kitchen, dining area and family room with plenty of seating. Generous size bedrooms. Would definitely stay here again.

Great location

Great location, short walk to the beach without the crowds of closer to town. House slept us comfortably. Does need some overall TLC on rusting external fixtures/furniture and deck railing is loose.

We are committed to continuously improve our property, to enhance our guests experience. Last year we replaced the carpet with a high quality berber carpet; and had the interior painted with a soothing satin paint. This year we replaced the decking with a composite (Azek) material. Included in this work, was the reinforcement of the stair railing. The deck chairs were replaced, and we are encouraging our guests to return them inside at the end of their stay, to minimize their exposure to the salt air. We are gradually replacing the metallic exterior light fixtures with the non-metallic type, on an as-needed basis.

I cannot say enough amazing things about this property. Quick beach access. Beautiful sunrise view. Comfortable beds. Clean house. Dishes for eating and cooking. Working washer and dryer. Great and speedy communication with host. We'd happily stay here again.

Very nice beach house , great area

Spacious beach house, safe neighborhood, short walk to beach, maybe 4 mins. Local restaurants not too far away, some across street. Drive into city of Galveston approx 10-12 mins. Beds are comfortable, 3 bathrooms ! Need to bring own beach towels. Plenty of toilet paper was provided and paper towels. Nice bath towels. I would stay again !

Everything was just as stated. The host was very helpful with an issue we had that was out of his control. He kept us informed on the issue. I would definitely book this property again.

Travlin Sistas

This is a beautiful home. It is just as described. The manager (Anthony) was great, he checked with us to make sure we received the key information and once we were there he checked with us to make sure we were ok. The home is located in a beautiful community, with friendly neighbors and a great walk to the Gulf. The master bedroom jacuzzi was excellent. We had a great stay and would definitely stay again.

Great location off the beach

The house is very nice and well kept!! The living space is nice and big and the house was well supplied!!! The area under the deck gets a great breeze and we were able to watch the fireworks from the tables under the deck!!! The neighborhood was great it was an easy walk to the beach! The beaches are great as they were not crowded at all! Not much to eat around us but we brought plenty of food! The main drag of Galveston is only about 15 minutes away but frankly the area was so crowded for the 4th we found this area to be a great get away

Plenty of space!!

Great property for a large family! We have 3 kids with their spouses and 2 grandkids. My father and step mother joined us which made for a safe and happy new year celebration of just family!! The only issue we had was the fog, but that was Mother Nature!! Anthony was a great host!

Short and Sweet Stay

We stayed in this property for a long weekend. Everything was fine for a short stay, but I would have been frustrated with the cooking dishes, skillets, pots and pans, etc. had we been staying longer. The cabinets and drawers need a good cleaning and kitchen supplies need to be updated as many basics were not available.

We appreciate your stay. We try and make it a point to update our kitchen utensils etc. periodically. We also have our maid staff perform a deep cleaning in the spring, including the kitchen cabinets etc. Sometimes through the course of a busy season, things change. Lots of beach with a touch of mosquitoes!!

The property would have been so much better if we could have actually spent time outside. The mosquitoes were so bad we would run to and from the car trying to avoid getting attacked by the mosquitoes!! We easily drove and walked to and from the beach. The beach was busy, but not too overcrowded. The house had lots of room and was a great place to getaway!

We are glad that you enjoyed our property. Unfortunately due to the recent rains (at that time), there was an abundance of mosquitoes. The city/HOA periodically fogs for mosquitoes. This is supposed to be done more frequently during the anticipated mosquito breeding cycles. We also supplement this with our own pest control, by periodically treating the yard surrounding the property. We will continue to monitor the situation, and notify the city/HOA accordingly. Great stat

The one complaint would be that the tv never worked. It would lose signal every couple of minutes. The house is great and we absolutely loved the layout. We only wanted the tv for the early risers before 7am

Thank you for the positive rating! I wish that we could have been made aware of the issue with the TV during your stay. Since the property has (4) TVs, we may reach out to you offline to pinpoint the TV. It may be a simple matter of re-booting the receiver. If not we will have the ATT tech come out, to resolve the problem.

Not too far from the beach

This property is lovely, situated about 3 blocks from the beach. The kids had no trouble finding their way back and forth to the beach. It is spacious. Although the home is showing some wear and tear (cracked tiles in the kitchen and base boards that need a fresh coat of paint) the living room, bedrooms, and baths are nicely furnished. The only suggestions I have is that we needed more towels, both bath and beach and a few more comfortable chairs might be nice in the living area (all that is available is a couch and love seat...in a house that sleeps 10).

We appreciate your feedback. We are constantly updating our property as our rental schedule, and contractor's/vendor's schedules allow. There must be some confusion on the towels, since the house sleeps (12), we stock the bathrooms with approx. (8) sets of towels, and the remaining (4) sets of towels are in the hall closet (upstairs), and in the linen closet in the bathroom downstairs; with approx. (4) extra sets. We have been assured by our maid staff that they are stocking the closets and bathrooms accordingly. Where the confusion is that the towels are not to be taken to the beach; we recommend that our guests bring their own towels for beach use. This is written into our rental agreement. Very good property and friendly host/owner. Easy to access beach within 5 minutes walk. Ideal to stay with family. Pros: Easy access to beach and a friendly neighborhood. Ideal to stay with family & friends. The master bedroom is good to see the sunrise and has private balcony. Cons: One of the shower in the second bedroom is not so great. The water flow on shower and in the tap same time. Need more clean and new utensils. Only two can sleep in the bunk bed. The third one mentioned below the one may not work. Please bring your own blankets.

Thank you Prabhu for the overall positive feedback. We apologize for any inconvenience. The faucet/diverter in the secondary bathroom had malfunctioned, causing the water flow to split (i.e. going to shower head & faucet). The part is on order, and will be replaced shortly. If you could message us, we would like to hear from you to get some clarity about the utensils. They are cleaned by the guests as they are used. If that did not happen prior to your stay, we will alert our maid staff. The bunk bed is a twin over full, with a full size trundle bed. The beds all have comforters, with (2) blankets in the closet for the trundle bed & sleeper sofa. Again if you would be so kind, please message us to clarify the concern.

This is the best beach house I ever stayed in. It was perfect , elegant, and well decorated . Felt like home away from home.
