This property was exactly as described. It was perfect for our little family getaway! At times it may look like you don’t have a beach but do not be fooled, the tide recedes enough to give you a few hours of beach daily! Absolutely beautiful views. Clean place, responsive and very helpful hosts. Alan recommended places for coffee and dinner and both were amazing! I also recommend the beignet truck across the street as well! All around great place for a great price!

Our Stay

We had an amazing time at this property. Right next to the beach. Our only complaint is that the air conditioning could have been a little better.

Perfect Paradise

The Lazy Loggerhead was perfect for our family of 6. The property was clean and well maintained with everything we needed for our stay. Easy access to the beach and close proximity to the laundry room. Alan even sent messages throughout our stay and restaurant recommendations. Would absolutely stay here again. It was perfect!

Great stay!

The location is near the fartherest end of the beach so there is very few people - meaning it was great for the kids to play without ever worry about too many people being around. The unit itself was in perfect condition when we arrived and the neighborhood was very quiet and relaxing to be in. We will def be looking into this location again for next years vacation. :D

We booked this rental for a 5 night beach getaway but unfortunately had to leave after just one night due to a very strong mildew and mold odor throughout the unit. While the place was clean and well kept in terms of housekeeping, the overwhelming smell was inescapable, and two of us woke up with noticeable allergy symptoms. As we’re aware this type of issue isn’t a quick fix, we made the decision to relocate.Another challenge was the lack of central air conditioning. The unit relies on portable AC units, which were loud and not effective enough to keep the space comfortably cool.Lastly, while the property is technically beachfront, direct beach access was blocked by sandbags placed along the shore to protect against high water. Guests have to take a detour to reach the beach, which wasn’t mentioned clearly in the listing.We would strongly discourage others from renting this unit until the odor issue is fully resolved and more accurate information is provided regarding beach access and cooling.

We stayed for 2 nights, 4 adults and a baby. We enjoyed our stay, nice and peaceful beachfront location. Clean and spacious kitchen, perfect for family breakfast and quick meals. Nice living room area, but the couch is stained and dirty. The bunk bed is perfect for kids, the beds are comfortable but note the top bunk is very squeaky. The property does rely on portable air conditioning, the AC is loud but it is very effective. The stay is at the north end of the island, be careful of strong currents (sandbags). There is direct beach access during LOW TIDE, easy 5 minute drive south to reach the beach, 10-15 minutes to reach the main restaurants and grocery stores. More notes: there is a coffee machine but coffee was not provided. Shampoo and body soap was also not provided. There is a Tiki convenience store right across the street, they have coffee, travel essentials, and fun ice cream treats!
