Perfect getaway. The house was spotless, well stocked and they even have all the switches labeled!Con, time for a new mattress on the king bed. Will definitely stay here again!

Our second visit to this property. Comfortable and clean, great views. Any minor issues (missing propane tank for grill) were quickly and easily resolved.

Weekend Getaway

The house was clean, fully stocked, and nicely decorated. The view was relaxing and much needed. The proximity to the beaches and stores was an added bonus.

Perfect Private Getaway

Great stay! Loved the dockside breeze and back porch. It’s a newer place, super clean, great kitchen with plenty of amenities to cook and bake. Easy check in and great communication with host! Plenty of parking underneath with good lighting. Feels very private with quiet neighbors. Highly recommend!

Views for days!

Views were amazing, you can enjoy them from the dock, back porch or inside of the house if weather is not cooperating. House was super clean, comfortable, equipped with everything you may need. Location was perfect. Easy car ride, bike ride or walk to the beach. If in the area, would love to rent this house again. Highly recommend this property!

We had a wonderful stay at this property! The house is beautifully remodeled, acceptably clean, and offers fantastic views that made our trip really special.A few helpful notes for future guests:The yard was recently mowed, though it looked like the string trimming/weed eating had been missed, so some of the edges and perimeter areas were a bit overgrown.If you're bringing a boat, keep in mind that while the listing clearly states the boat lift is not for guest use, I personally overlooked the fact that the dock itself is fixed rather than floating. Since we brought our boat to tie up at the dock, we had to get a bit creative with our mooring lines to accommodate the changing water levels.Additionally, be aware that the canal is quite shallow! It can be tricky to navigate at low tide depending on your boat's draft, so you’ll definitely want to time your outings with the tide chart.Overall, despite a couple of minor local quirks, it's a great home in a wonderful location. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and would gladly recommend it!

Great location and view

We loved the one level living. The place has nice decor- feels homey not like a rental. Great features were the deck with a wide view of the sound. It is close to the bridge at Surf City but pretty quiet- boats and jet skis stay on the other side of the sound so we didn’t hear them. We also really enjoyed the covered dock. The breeze and shade was great on the hot days and we caught some fish too. The check in and out process was really easy. WiFi was strong and appliances were new and very nice. We definitely want to go back again.

Beautiful property and location! Check in was super easy. Very well stocked with anything we needed. Loved the water access. We enjoyed fishing every day. We caught our own bait (shrimp) and they were so plentiful, we even had enough shrimp to eat for supper. Although we didn’t keep any, there were lots of crab!! Quiet neighborhood. Check out was easier than any other place we’ve ever stayed. I had a couple questions and sent messages that were answered very quickly. Will definitely return!

Great house and great dock

The house was immaculate, well equipped and everything was as stated. The dock was amazing for fishing...we caught red drum, croaker, crab and other small fishes. AND we saw a pair of dolphins swim right by the dock. We rented kayaks from the surf shop down the street and they delivered to the house. Hanging out on the deck in the evening was also very pleasant with the constant wind keeping us cool. We walked over the bridge into Surf City a couple of times. It was about 1.5 miles each way and great to explore on foot. The management company was very prompt with clear communications and checking in was easy. There were beach chairs for our use but I couldn't find beach towels or cooler. We just used bath towels for the beach and we brought our own cooler so we were all set. There seems to be a soft spot in the floor under the flooring by the sliding door in the living room area. So we made sure to take a big step over the sliding doors. If we return to the area, we would definitely rent this house again. Thanks!
