Yes, it was a dog friendly place, but there was dog hair on some of the furniture.

We really enjoyed the decor. The beds were very comfortable. We had everything we needed. We stayed here to be close to Boone for graduation. It was a 30 minute drive which was not bad at all.

We celebrated our 13 year anniversary this weekend at this cabin and it was one of mine and my wife’s favorite cabins we’ve ever stayed in. It was cozy, secluded, clean, and overall what we needed for a getaway.

Very relaxing

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Nice and relaxing vacation. We enjoyed time every night playing pool and had a nice time in the hot tube (my husband enjoyed getting in there each morning). The "bed" swing on the back porch was super nice so much so my husband enjoyed a very long nap on it. The beds were comfortable all though my husband had a harder time sleeping due to hearing walking and moving from the bedroom above us. So keep in mind it is a long cabin. The kitchen was nice to prepare our meals in. We enjoyed going to Howard Knob County Park and Elk Knob State park for a little site seeing and hiking. In Boone we enjoyed eating at Bocca Bistro and driving through downtown Boone. Getting a parking spot to wall downtown was a task and not accomplished but we tried.

Spring Get Away

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. We had a great time at this cabin! Everything was clean and had all the essentials. 10 minutes from river tubing at Wahoos, 10/10 recommend for families

Quiet, Cozy Cabin in the Woods

Location was great and easy to get to. You could tell the cabin was well cared for and in great shape. There is one cabin that is forked off of the same driveway as the cabin we rented, but still far enough away to not be intrusive.

House is very private. Great location if you want equal distance to Boone and West Jefferson. Cabin has everything (exceptt ice trays) as ice maker in fridge didn't work. Remedied that with some bag ice. Definitely returning during warmer months to take advantage of kayaks supplied for cruising down the river.

Graduation celebration

We came up to celebrate my daughter’s graduation from Appalachian State. This was the perfect house for us to all gather and celebrate her. We enjoyed all the games and the pool table. The hot tub felt great and the sunrise over the mountains was beautiful. We would definitely love to come back again.

Family vacation was amazing

My family enjoyed the stay at the Barley Behaving cabin. It was a beautiful cabin and in an area all to yourself. The only downfall was you do not have any cell phone service but you have wifi so it was fine. For some reason the water pressure was in and out when taking shower. But other than that we enjoyed our stay.

Most of our homeowners now offer internet-based TV services rather than traditional cable or satellite, and this is clearly noted in each property listing. The TVs also offer free channels through their streaming platforms, and guests can log in with their own accounts to access additional programming such as Hulu, YouTube TV, or Netflix. We "beary" much enjoyed this cabin

The photos do not do this place justice. I know that the "bear-Core" can go a bit overload at placed, but this was just right. Three levels with a bathroom on each which was awesome for our crew. Fun game room with pool table and darts. Kid friendly but yard has a big slope so ya gotta watch closely. Beautiful fireplace. Great location- 25 mins to boone, 40 to Banner Elk. Gravel windy road so I suggest 4wd. Grill needs replacing, and hot tub was a bit small for 3 adults and 2 small kiddos, but all in all a nice perk. The wifi worked well too! The deck and swing out back were lovely. All in all- we had a blast and would totally come stay here again.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: What a cute cabin! Comfortable, well-appointed, great communication with property management. The cabin has a large back deck - we loved the bed swing!! This place was just right for our family of 5 adults - loved having 3 full baths! Located in Todd, NC, please be aware that the Todd Railroad Grade Road is very narrow and curvy. If you're new to mountain driving, take it slow and easy! Also, the last 1/2 mile to the cabin is a gravel road. No rain during (or before) our trip so muddy travel was not an issue. The cabin is a good home base for activities in and around Boone/Blowing Rock/Banner Elk - would stay here again.
