The Old Town Guest House is an upscale vacation home originally built in 1870 and beautifully renovated with tasteful and modern accomodations to make your stay a perfect one. The history and charm of a bed and breakfast with the privacy and space of your own home. Located in the historic district of old town St. Charles, you'll love strolling along the cobblestone streets, visiting all the unique shop, restaurants and entertainment Main Street has to offer. Right off the Katy Trail and great for cyclists looking for lodging beyond the hotel scene. Only 9 miles from Lambert Airport and a short half-hour drive to the all St. Louis Attractions, you can explore it all!
Walking in the door on the lower level walk out to the parking, you’ll see a luxurious hot tub with jets and lighting in a private enclosure wrapped in cozy cedar siding. Inside the bottom floor has 1 bedroom with a king size bed, full bathroom, and washer and dryer. Main floor boast a beautiful kitchen with breakfast and snacks awaiting you (full kitchen except for no stove/range), comfortable and lovely living room, room with a daybed, and another full bathroom. Upstairs is a charming half story room with 2 queen beds, closet, and plenty of space.
Perfect for a romantic weekend, wedding night stay, girlfriends' getaway, family fun retreat, or anything other group looking a unique vacation. We are here to make your stay an unforgetable one, and would love to have you as our guests.

Very clean, beautiful historic house. We liked the smaller town and the walkable historic area. Close to attractions in St. Louis (about 30 minute drive to the Arch, Cardinals stadium and the City Museum).Easy parking and check in.

Such a cute, historic space. Great location for visiting our family in St Louis and allowed us to easily walk to historic St Charles for ice cream and charm. Convenient to drug stores and fast food as well. Welcome book and snacks were also a nice touch! Our family of five enjoyed our stay.

The house was lovely and spacious. We were a group of 6 and there was plenty of room for us to have our own space. Everything was in good working order. It was so nice to be right in the middle of historic St. Charles. We were able to just walk to so many different places to eat and shop. The hot tub was an extra bonus for us and our grandkids at the end of a full day of site seeing. It was centrally located for us to be able to visit family. The hosts were very responsive with any message I sent. The only minor issue was that we would have liked some notice about the road construction going on in the area. We weren't prepared for the road closures and detours that had to be taken. Overall it was a great experience and we would definitley stay here again.

This house was perfect for a girls weekend. Clean, beds were comfortable and hot tub was fantastic after a day of shopping. Plenty of parking space. Super cute house!

We did not use the hot tub, but I peeked inside and it looked and smelled very clean.The kitchen had everything we needed for our stay. We didn’t cook anything, but having utensils and tools to eat pizza, coffee cups, coffee maker and glasses were very much appreciated.Audrey, our host, was very nice and helpful.

Pillows need to be replaced and some of the blankets. Beds are way too high off the floor. No tissues in the bathrooms. Bring your own. The lower level although nicely decorated is dark due to it is actually a walkout basement. Would have been ok if the door leading out had a nice window to bring light in. Only two very small side windows. I loved the historic feel with the old brick walls and door transom windows in the house. There is a very small cute cozy room off the eat in kitchen with a daybed. The upstairs bedroom is very bright and cozy with two beds. No bathroom on that level. There is a bath on the lower level and one on the main floor but only room for one person to sleep on that floor. I thought maybe the couch was a fold out and it was but there was a note under the cushion not to use it and the cleaning service apparently does not clean under the cushions. The house is in a great location if you want a short walk to Historic Main Street. Nice Church directly across the street unfortunately they ring the bell every hour on the hour. I mean all night. Overall it is a great old Historic home in the historic district with all the outdoor restaurants and coffee shops and that really nice old historic feel with brick streets and sidewalks. I think maybe an upgrade to the pillows and blankets would have made it a better experience for us. I would suggest staying there but at least you know of the issues before you stay there.

Hello Scott! Thank you for your stay with us and thank you for your detailed review! We will definitely take a closer look at the pillows and like to provide plenty of options there. But we are wondering if maybe you missed the extra ones we have in the closets? The comforters and quilts should be in great shape though so not sure on that, but will take a look as well. It can be difficult to supply all types on these things but have had great feedback from others on the bedding. We are sure sorry you did not enjoy the church bells from the beautiful and historic St Peter’s Catholic Church. We share different opinions there I guess and love them actually. We have asked guests to no longer use the pull out bed on the sofa for a couple reasons. We have plenty of beds to accommodate the number of guests allowed, and they consistently get broken when guests attempt to put them back and tend to destroy the wood floors. Apologies if the cleaners missed something within the couch cushions. We take a ton of pride in getting 5 star reviews and anything less than that will be looked at seriously and appreciate your business as well as your comments. Thanks again for staying with us and hope you can make it back again sometime!

Very close to historic district. Restaurants and shopping all easy walking distance. The house was very clean and everything in good working condition. I appreciated the little extras that many vrbo do not provide.....like coffee pods, some snacks, plenty of toliet paper and mini shampoos and conditioners which came in handy as i forgot my shampoo.

Perfect house for a weekend in St. Charles

Some friends and I stayed here for a weekend getaway. This house was perfect. It was within walking distance of many shops, restaurants, and bars. The house was spacious enough for all 6 of us to feel comfortable and not feel like we were on top of each other. The hot tub was also a great addition!

A Wonderful Historical House in St Charles

Loved this house. My family said one of their favorite VRBO homes. Beautiful, clean, amazing location and a hot tub! We will stay there again. I am sure it would be a fantastic Christmas house.

We've always loved Old Town St. Charles because of its charm, fun atmosphere, and historic architecture. When we saw this little brick house for sale we thought it was just perfect and would be a way for us to enjoy the area even more and let other people experience it too.
