Athena by the Sea is a single-level beachfront home designed for relaxed coastal living and easy family getaways. Located directly on St. Augustine Beach, this three-bedroom, two-bath home offers unobstructed views of the sand, sea, and sky, along with a private walkway that leads straight from the backyard to the beach.

Inside, the home features a modern open floor plan that brings everyone together. The living area and dining space both enjoy ocean views, making it easy to gather for movie nights, shared meals, or simply watching the waves roll in. The fully equipped kitchen opens naturally to the main living space, keeping the group connected throughout the stay.

All three bedrooms are thoughtfully arranged on one level for convenience, and the two full bathrooms provide comfort and functionality for families or small groups. A full-size washer and dryer are available, and we provide all bed and bath linens for your stay.

One of the highlights of Athena by the Sea is the screened-in back porch, furnished with ample seating and positioned to capture views in both directions along the shoreline. Whether enjoying a morning coffee or unwinding in the evening, the porch creates the feeling of having your own private stretch of beach.

We had such a wonderful time here! Thé private walkway to the beach was huge for us. We have 3 kids so it was wonderful to be able to let them just run back and grab whatever they left at the house without having to worry about safety concerns. Thé house was very comfortable. We didn’t realize that it was a pet friendly space, so there was pet hair on bed, pillows, things like that….thats on me for not realizing. That didn’t change our stay at all though. It was great and we hope to come back again!

My family of 4 along with our 2 dogs loved staying here! Definitely will book here again next time we come down! It was clean, easy for the kids and dogs to get around, safe, and had a beautiful view.

Home was clean and well equipped! You can’t see the ocean from the phone because of the sand dunes but once you get to the beach it’s a great view. Could still hear the ocean from the home which was great. Property manager was responsive and helpful.

From the very beginning of the reservation process, throughout our stay and the check out we had nothing short of a great experience. The property was exactly as described. Being directly on the beach side was awesome. The property was close to shopping and great places to eat. The beach was absolutely beautiful. I’m originally from Daytona Beach and I have to say this was a much more scenic beach. Law enforcement was present a lot and we felt safe. Most of the beach-goers were really nice and we made a few friends along the way. The property was clean and roomy enough for 6. Our host Marty was awesome. Answered every question quickly and was very helpful. If you have people in your party with mobility issues though be aware the walk to the beach is a little lengthy and requires walking a long walkway and up and downhill through soft sand dunes. Carrying coolers, beach chairs, etc. can be a little difficult. Otherwise it was a great stay. We will definitely return

We very much enjoyed our stay! The house was just the right size for our family and we especially enjoyed the screened in porch. The walk to the beach was much shorter than the picture shows, which was a nice surprise!

The property itself is clean, the check in was easy, and they very detailed instructions on check out, which was very nice. However the issue we had with the property is that there was hidden fee, and we were charged 100 more for having 8 guests, which we were not notified of until they pulled the money from my bank. We were told after that any guests over 7 (the property only stated it could hold so many guests, not that there were extra charges) is 100 more. And they would not make it right. The only issue we have with the property itself is that the “private walkout” doesn’t go all the way to the beach, it stops at a huge sand dune that even blocks the view of the beach. Which is disappointing because the private walkout out was the only reason we booked the place.

Thank you for the kind words about the cleanliness, check-in, and checkout instructions — glad those went smoothly. We do want to clarify the guest fee: the additional charge for bookings with more than 8 guests is disclosed and must be acknowledged before a booking can be completed on Vrbo. It isn't applied after the fact or hidden — it's a required step in the booking process itself, so we're not sure how it would have gone unnoticed. On the walkway: the private walkover provides direct beach access from the property, but it has never extended all the way across the dune to the open sand — that's simply the nature of a beach walkover on this stretch of coast, not a change from what's listed. We understand the dune blocking the view was disappointing, but it's consistent with how the walkway has always worked. We appreciate the detailed feedback and hope you'll consider us again.

No complaints. We all enjoyed our stay. I would stay there again. Well equipped. Adding a gas grill would be nice. Our dog loved the screened porch. Nice walk way to the dunes and beach.

Great Vacation spot

We had the pleasure of staying at this adorable beachfront property, and it was truly a delightful experience from start to finish. The combination of the prime beachfront location, the charming property, and convenience to grocery stores, restaurants, etc. made for a memorable and relaxing getaway. I highly recommend this beachfront escape to anyone looking for a perfect beach vacation.

This was a quick check in and the stay was amazing! The kitchen has everything you need! We had 4 adults and 2 kids. It’s a perfect location to downtown and there was a dollar general and Winn Dixie close by! Marty’s house was so clean and very home feeling! We will definitely be staying again with him! The sunsets and sunrises from this house were breathtaking!
