Wake up with singing birds and, in the evening, enjoy the views of spacious green fields and often spectacular sunsets over the mountains.
Come visit Luray Caverns, then enjoy the restaurants, stores and ambiance of downtown Luray. Stroll along the Hawksbill Greenway in downtown and then come back to the Cottage for a restful evening.
Or spend the day in the beautiful Shenandoah National Park, exploring trails and soaking up the natural beauty of the Shenandoah Valley.

We had a wonderful time at Ruth's cabin, nice rustic style, beautiful fields around, close to all our destinations. Ruth is a great host and we felt all taken care of during our stay, and she is just a great person. Thank you very much, we loved it.

The cottage is a great place to stay. Everything was very ckean. The cottage was well supplied. It was just right for our tours of the wineries in the area, Ruth the owner was very friendly.

Beautiful little farmhouse with a quirky layout but fully functional and very clean. Beds were super comfy with luxury linens. Located with easy access to Luray Caverns, Skyline Drive, New Market Battlefield, etc. Ruth, the owner, even left us baked goodies from Main Street Bakery and checked in on us. Would definitely recommend a stay here. We so enjoyed spending time on the front porch hearing the birds sing and watching the deer cross the road each morning and evening!

Cozy farm house

Just as advertised and just what we needed for our short stay. Ruth was very sweet to offer to child proof the place before we arrived.

Tranquil little spot

After a week of road-tripping, this was a lovely final stay before gunning it back up north on I-81. Tidy and cute, with splendid backyard views of the valley and mountains.

Quick Trip

We just needed a place to stay for one night and this place was perfect. Quiet location. Close to Luray Caverns. Owners were great with communication.

64 years old and stayed by myself in this Cottage. I felt safe and comfortable enough to go outside and take pictures of the night sky. I also went on adventures of nearby Creeks to look for beautiful rocks. Although Luray Caverns was only 5 Mi away I did not come here to visit the caverns. It was a nice Mountain getaway with beautiful scenic views on my drive there and back. Not just the cottage was a beautiful reminder of my grandmother's home, but a beautiful location to catch misty mornings, awesome sunsets, and visitd by friendly neighborhood cats.

Peaceful Cottage in the Country

The cottage was a little further from town than we anticipated, but we spent most of our time in the park and the caverns; so, it suited us well. The property manager, Ruth, checked on us each day to make sure we had everything we needed. The only little glitch was with the clothes washer when trying to wash with cold water. It turned out the hot and cold selections on the washer were reversed, and we found a work around so everything ended well. The area was very quiet and pleasant to enjoy in the evenings, and we both slept soundly at night.

The cottage was really nice, clean and comfortable. The Wi-Fi was sporadic at best. The Cable TV was not hooked up/working. We were left with a DVD player and a monitor. We were not happy about this at all.
