Enjoy this entire house near Washington, DC. Here, you'll find a porch, an open kitchen, a full bath, a living room, 2 bedrooms (Queen size bed), a dining room, in the main level. The upstairs has a full bath, one master bedroom (King-size bed), and a second bedroom perfect for kids (bunk bed). The basement has a family room, a bedroom (queen bed), a bathroom, and a laundry. Outside, you will find a yard and space for four cars. Near Washington DC, this home is located in the downtown area of Kensington, close to restaurants, stores, metro, bus, and a MARC station, and is 2 miles from 495/beltway.
Early Check-In / Late Check-Out Policy:
Guests may request early check-in (before 3:00 PM) or late check-out (after 11:00 AM) for an additional fee of $25 USD per hour. This arrangement must be confirmed in advance and is subject to availability.

Only complaint was with the shower in the 1st floor bathroom (could not get upper head to work) and a small table in the bathroom would have been nice for personal effects for 2 people. Beds were very comfortable.

We rented this house for an extended family trip to DC for graduation. It was very clean, very comfortable, and had everything we needed to accommodate 8 adults and 2 teenagers! The neighborhood was great with restaurants, coffee, and grocery within blocks. It is a total gem and the hosts were very responsive. We highly recommend this rental.

We are new at VRBO and this was the greatest option for visiting family in the Kensington area. We loved staying at this charming house. It was wonderful for the 5 of us. It was so close to our relative’s house we could even walk there. The town is absolutely charming. The communication with the hosts was perfect. Thank you!! Absolutely recommend.

Clean and charming.

Our family enjoyed our stay at this clean and charming home. Every need was provided for including dish soap, hand soap and shampoo. We were very comfortable.

Quiet neighborhood. Close to shops and area we had to access. Host were very kind and reactive to help, for example, to provide few items we needed in the kitchen.

Great location

House is located in a nice residential area. The pictures look smaller than the house actually is. 4 adults and 2 children had more than enough room. Well appointed kitchen. Linens and towels were nice quality. Visiting relatives in Silver Spring and will hopefully stay again!

Washington DC Base Camp

We used this property as our base camp to visit the Washington DC and the surrounding area. It turned out great! The metro train station was a very short walk from the house. The neighborhood was clean, safe and quiet.

Great house

The house was clean and comfortable. The only thing I would add is dressers for the bedrooms that don’t have them and a space to hang up a coat and /or dress in the main floor bedroom. We enjoyed being there and being able to walk to the grocery store and restaurants.

This house is decorated and equipped with great attention to detail. It’s clean and tasteful. Has a neat backyard with a patio table and chairs.

Nice Base for Exploring Kensington

We were pleased with our stay. The house is nicely laid out -- efficient and compact. The kitchen had everything we needed. There were nice touches throughout such as upscale towels. The location was perfect for exploring downtown Kensington. We wanted to flag 2 items. First, we could hear the downstairs neighbors speaking loudly starting around 6:30 am. Not a big problem, but a little annoying. Second, the stsirs to the upper level are narrow and a bit uneven.We

Good morning Gary! Thank you very much for your through review. I would like to make a comment on the two items you flagged. 1- About the neighbors speaking on the basement. This is the last time I will rent the house separately. From now on, the house will be rented as one cohesive unit. 2- About the stairs to the upper level. This is a house built back in 1960 and will be difficult to make the stairs wider than 3ft which is the standard building code in our State for stairs and aisles in residential homes. I have nothing but good things to say about your stay. You are very clean and respectful guess. I can't wait to have you back as a guess again. Thanks, Lester
