This single-level home on the eastern edge of Sunriver offers the airy atmosphere of a yurt, with walls that climb short of the ceiling (except in the bathroom). You'll find access to the bike path a few steps away (and two adult-size bikes to take out), the Village at Sunriver one mile south, and SHARC's indoor/outdoor pools and tubing hill half a mile south. You'll also enjoy easy access to tennis courts at Fort Rock Park (half a mile northwest); world-class ski slopes at Mt. Bachelor (22 miles northwest); and on-site golf at the Woodlands and Meadows Golf Courses (two miles north and south, respectively).

House was clean and cozy. House could use a little updating. Check in process was terrible. Will never rent a house managed by Vacasa again. Took almost 2 hours to check in because their website wasnt working and they require a picture of drivers license and selfie. After 2 hours they finally allowed phone identity verification and we were allowed into the house.

Only good for sleep.

When we first book this place, we understood that it was a little outdated and in need of some TLC. Well, unfortunately, TLC is an understatement. This home could benefit from a serious deep clean and needs a lot of maintenance. Yes it is outdated, however, it is very dirty. When we first arrived, the deck was completely covered in Pineneedles that my husband had to sweep off because it was a safety hazard. (The needles had been there for a while!) Secondly, when we went into the home, we first noticed the bugs and old food crumbs all over the floor. Inside the fridge were little tiny bugs as well. Almost all the dishes had some sort of old food stuck to them. The house could use a serious deep clean. Be weary of the back deck as part of the deck is rotten. This is only a good option if you plan to sleep here…..

Good Value

It’s a nice little house for a short stay. The price was good and it is close to all Sunriver has to offer. I really wish it had a dishwasher though. It isn’t fun to wash dishes on your vacation.

Adequate

For a couple of groomsmen attending a friends wedding it was adequate. Needs a bit of TLC for what most families staying at the community would expect. Fun note - the bedrooms are open at the top to the ceiling and so is the living area and kitchen - you WILL hear each other throughout the home.

Charming round house, but know what you are getting into

I love round houses, so we had to give this place a shot. For the most part we had a lovely time. That said, I read some of the negative reviews, and you should too. It is important to know what you are getting into. If you need private sound space, this is not a good fit due to the bedroom walls not going to the ceiling. If you have small children, caution is recommended as several aspects were not toddler/baby friendly, but we did not have too many issues. And most importantly, if you are light sensitive, bring an eye mask. Lots of lovey windows make for bright mornings. This house and its shape brings the outside world to the inside, which is lovely. The vaulted ceiling draws you to the center of the house and the layout encourages community. We loved it. As for the trains that go by. Yes they are loud, but not disruptive. No horns just a lot of mass moving at speed. If the windows are shut, it’s not too bad. We just made a game out of it and it became fun when they came by.

Good location- that’s about it

We liked the idea of a cute yurt house and we liked the price based on the age of the property. What we did not expect was how run down it was. The deck was falling apart, the hot tub looked really old and wasn’t even working. Had to call maintenance who came late the next day, refilled the hot tub and then we had to wait another full day for it to heat up. We were only able to use the hot tub on the very last night. We pay outrageous fees for cleaning and it was not clean. I had to run a vacuum over the carpet when we got there, the kitchen floor was dirty and cobwebs everywhere. On the positive side- it was a convenient location- close to the Sharc and shopping, and response to the hot tub issue was fairly quick. I would recommend to anyone just looking for a place to crash at night.

We really liked our stay. We were very comfortable. Everything worked fine. I would recommend changing all the floors due to they are very old.

While we enjoyed our stay, I do wish the back patio was in better condition. Around the hot tub specifically, had many boards I was afraid were going to break. Also, needs more forks, I think there were 2 in the drawer.

Nice neighborhood, but outdated

The neighborhood and location are really nice. There are trails close by, and neighbors are pretty quiet. However, this place is right next to railroad tracks and there was a train that went by every night. And it is in dire need of repairs. Much of the wood in the deck is rotted and you have to watch your every step to not hit the rusty nails or to go through it. There is markings on the cieling of where there has been leaks throughout the winter. Initially we weren't given keys to the shed with bikes so we had to call and wait for someone to bring them. The bikes had punctured tires so we couldn't use them anyway. There are no lights on the porch around or in the hot tub for you to see at night and only maybe half of the jets worked. There wasn't a non stick pan in sight so we gave up on being able to cook pancakes or eggs for breakfast. At the least I can say it was clean and felt safe, so if you're just looking for a place to sleep at night it's OK.

Don't go

I wish I had read the reviews. When I first walked in I was disappointed then I got angry. The first thing we noticed was the shower door was broken. We called the 800 number and were assured a maintenance person would fix it, but no one ever showed up. The place is a dump. No outside lighting, no hand rail for the steps, try getting in and out on ice and snow. Hot tub a joke, couldn't open the cover all the way. Electric plugs wouldn't hold chargers, reading past reviews these are the same problems reported 2-3 years ago. They should have paid me to stay there. And the freight train they never mentioned is 50' away and runs in the middle of the night. Shame on me, never again with this crowd. Would give it a negative 5 star review.

Cute place I wish it would have been noted that a train goes by the house about 100 ft away around 10 times all through the middle of the night which is very alarming when it’s unexpected. Also it has no dishwasher which is a nuisance while on vacation

We enjoyed our stay!

Perfect location. Close to SHARC and village. Everything was functional in this home. Hot tub was nice and HOT! My girls had fun staying in this unique round house.

Dated property

There was garbage and bottles outside the home. Property is dated with older amenities. Hot water tank not larger enough for a family and we quickly ran out of hot water. Only 1 hour worth of firewood for a 4 day trip. Overall the location is wonderful and in a quiet neighborhood. We love sunriver and frequent it often. Read other reviews they are accurate. Wouldn’t book this property again due to needed repairs.

This place is beat up!

This place is in poor condition. It needs some serious fixing up and cleaning done. The deck is sketchy, the hot was not used because of the condition of it. I could keep going. Luckily we spent most of our time outside the property. Also, the people that came to “check the internet” that worked for Vascasa was completely clueless when asking questions too. The person who cleaned the room before us did a terrible job. I picked up food off the floor as soon as we walked in. The trash from the previous guest was split over the thrash outside as well.

Older home with a great location

No air conditioning which leaves the house warm and stuffy during the day, but cooled down at night. You will hear every sound in the house due to the walls not going all of the way to the ceiling. The hot tub was great when it worked, but the service company was quick to respond when it didn't. The train was not an issue. Loved the multiple decks, but could use a patio umbrella in the back. Great location within a nice walk to both the village, Sharc and Fort Rock Park. Comfortable house for its size and age. The four of us had a great week.

Great for a couple

We loved this little place. Not fussy. Has everything you need. Master bed comfy. Train was pretty quiet. The shower doors need repair. They leak pretty bad from under the frame. Deck has some rotting spots, one in particular I nearly fell through. Good quiet location. Some “party” stuff left over from guests before us in the yard area, old glasses, beer caps, glow sticks. Over all. Very happy with it. Needs some home repairs to really make it shine again.

Cozy and warm

This yurt style house was a bit quirky, but we actually really enjoyed it. Our favorite was the fireplace! My husband and kids loved building a big fire every night and kept the place very cozy for us. They provided plenty of firewood. The new furniture in the living room was nice and so was the hot tub. It was working and up to temp when we arrived. The walls that don't go up to the ceiling wasn't as bad as I expected. They had fans for each bedroom that washed out any sound. The trains did not bother us at all, but if you're a very light sleeper, I suppose they might wake you. For us, the trains were not as frequent as others noted. The kitchen was adequate. The bathroom was small and outdated and had a very small toilet and shower that leaked on to the floor. Overall, it was good for us. If you're not expecting a brand new house, it is nice.

Set your expectations low and you'll have a blast!

This is not your typical home. It's more like an extremely fancy and well equipped yurt. I'll rate it 4 stars with that in mind. Set your expectations for this place low, and you will end up having a great time, but if you come here thinking it's a home-away-from-home with all the frills, you might end up disappointed.
