Family friendly home located directly on a canal with sound access and dock!

This is a true rent by owner!

Location, Location, Location:
Canal front property in private and quiet neighborhood. Great for families and children. Large lawn area for children to play. Dock for a boat (boat ramp is less than 5 minutes away, 4ft. draft) with fishing cleaning station, also great for fishing and crabbing. One two person kayak, two adult single kayaks, 2 child size kayaks, and one paddle board! Close to ocean and sound.

Main house:
This is a great 4 bedroom home with 3 full bathrooms. Sleeps up to 10-12 people comfortably (one king, two queens, 3 bunk beds). Has a wonderful screened in porch facing the water! Open living room and kitchen. Great for families (renter must be 24 years of age or older)! Kitchen amenities include, stove/oven, dishwasher, microwave, refrigerator, toaster, coffee machine, crock pot, blender, hand mixer, grill utensils, pots/pans, baking dishes, cooking utensils, serving platters, plates, bowls, cups, and plenty of silverware. Includes a washer and dryer. Also, has a charcoal grill facing the water.

There is a ring camera that is used only for security purposes when house is not being used.

Has a spectacular sunset view!

This is an awesome property! Clean. Neat. Well appointed. Loved the multi-level layout. The rooms were spacious and the beds were comfortable. The sunset view sitting on the back porch overlooking the waterway is picturesque. The host was very accommodating as we had to change our schedule (more than once!), because the weather played havoc with our fishing charter plan. I wholeheartedly recommend this property.

"Clean, Spacious, and Perfect for a Weekend Getaway in Cape Hatteras"

"We stayed at this property for a weekend while on a fishing charter in Cape Hatteras. Although we didn't spend a lot of time at the house, it was clean, spacious, and beautifully decorated. A comfortable and relaxing spot to return to after a day on the water. We would definitely recommend it for anyone visiting the area!"

Just like home

Exactly what we needed. House was perfectly located and well supplied. Owner was very nice and tried to make our stay comfortable. Would definitely return to this house.

The place had almost everything

Everything was so easy and we had a great time. We should have called before we went and could have left a few things at home. We had a great trip to the OBX

We absolutely loved our stay here! Property was exactly as described and then some! Had everything we needed. Our kids are begging for us to go ahead and book next year. We didn't want to leave! Thanks for sharing your home with us!

Great location on the sound

Well stocked and clean house. Nice to have linens and cleaning supplies included. Great outdoor amenities (kayak, life vest, chairs). Nice development to walk around or kids to ride a bike. Frisco Beach access was a 3 mile drive with nice bathhouse.

Clean & cozy home, elevated above the rest.

6 men celebrated a full day’s fishing together out of Hataras with Bluefin Charters. We stayed most comfortably the Friday night before and Saturday night after @ your Sound Escape! It was wonderful to get well rested both before & after catching over 30 fish in the Gulf Stream. Thank You, Jackie, for your VRBO!

Weekend stay

We stayed here 3 nights for a wedding and it suited our needs. It was our first time in Hatteras, which was nice. The outside of this place is in good shape. Inside, the bathrooms need updating and there is only one large closet in the master bedroom. No closets in the other two bedrooms. Also, the living space is two floors up, so lots of steps. If these things wouldn’t bother you, then you would enjoy this rental. The owner is very responsive.

Thank you for your review. The house is older and the bathrooms are not updated but they are very clean and well kept. The master is the only room with a closet but we don’t notice it since we spend most of our time on the water :). If your looking for a well kept and clean beach house this is the place for you!

A Little Dissapointed

Communications were great with the property and check in was easy. For a place for guys to go to after a day of fishing, it was OK. But there was a real lack of cleanliness in the kitchen equipment and the linens were all stained. My wife noticed a ton of tired furnishings and the AC in the bunk room was lacking - and the extra fans furnished in the room showed that its a known issue. Now for a positive, that screened in back porch is awesome. Easy access to all the Buxton area fishing is a plus too. I hope the owners will address the issues so we can come back again.

Always a great place to stay

Great place

Stayed here with friends for a bachelor party getaway. The place was great with plenty of room for 6 grown men. Neighborhood was quiet and the neighbors were very helpful when trying to find places to eat and get to a grocery store.

Perfect for Our Adventure

I completed the Blackbeard Revenge 100K that runs from Nags Head to Cape Hatteras. This property was in the perfect location near the finish line, and was a very clean place for my recovery.

True rent by owner. We have been traveling to Hatteras for many years now and have finally purchased a wonderful home that we would love to share with you! With our love of the water and fishing we choose this house in Brigand's Bay. We love the access to the sound, the dock and beach! We hope you enjoy our house as much as we do!
