Our spacious, comfortable home features panoramic ocean views and stunning sunsets in a quiet setting, perfect for a relaxing Maine vacation. Furnished in a bright and airy cottage style, the house is decorated with original antiques, art and textiles. With three bedrooms and two baths upstairs, and a private suite with sitting room and full bath downstairs, this home is perfect for multi-generations or couples traveling together. Nature lovers will enjoy the walking trail that leads to our own private cove. The house is centrally located on Mount Desert Island, 15 minutes from the lively village of Bar Harbor, the "quiet side" village of Southwest Harbor, and the entrance to Acadia National Park.

FIRST FLOOR: Modern Kitchen with breakfast table for two. Half Bathroom off Kitchen. Living Room with panoramic ocean views. Dining Area with ocean views and table that seats up to six people. Guest Suite with two twin beds, ocean views, sitting area with TV, and bathroom with shower.

SECOND FLOOR: Master Suite with queen bed and sitting area with water views, Full Bath and additional Sitting Room/Den with TV. Bedroom with double bed and water views. Bedroom with two twin beds. Bathroom with shower off hallway.

APPLIANCES: Well-equipped kitchen with electric stove and dishwasher. Full set of lobster and clam steaming equipment. Plentiful china, glasses & silverware for family meals or entertaining. Gas grill. Three Smart TV’s with Roku service and 2 DVD players. Full size washer and dryer and laundry folding area.

DECK: Well furnished deck with water views & Adirondack chairs.

EXTRAS: Tree-lined path to private cove along with nature trails to the Nature Conservancy Preserve.

Our family had a wonderful week in Acadia staying at this lovely home! We enjoyed cooking in the spacious kitchen, eating in the dining area overlooking the water, stunning sunsets, and stargazing! We would definitely return and highly recommend for other families!

The house was spotless and plenty of room inside and out for your extended family. The sunset pictures online do not do it justice. Beautiful! Also if you like to see whitetail deer they are everywhere.

Beautiful house with amazing views and access to Acadia Park. The only downside was the house is infested with spiders. We were constantly being bitten by them in our sleep. They were in the kitchen cabinets and bathrooms. They were everywhere. I would recommend that the owner hires an exterminator to manage the situation. Thank you!

This is particularly surprising and concerning to us, as we have never previously had an issue with spiders in the home. We were seven adults, myself (86 years old) and my daughter and her husband, my son and his wife, my handicapped son, and my son from FL. The downstairs twin bedroom with seating and TV was convenient for my two sons. I had the twin bed upstairs. Surprisingly, I was able to climb the stairs and happy to have a bathroom so close. The two bedroom suites were a welcome surprise. TV watching was convenient and cozy in either of the sitting rooms. Downstairs living was set up for eight people, so family togetherness was just what we all wanted. I can't say enough about the view of the water and wildlife. We watched for deer from inside and also outside on the huge deck and my kids hiked to the cove every day. Access to Acadia National Park every day was the best. I can't say enough about our stay. It was one of the best family vacations we have had.

This house is set on a bluff with incredible views and is surrounded by nature. Truly a magical setting that is very rare. Our family of 4 plus my father-in-law were easily accommodated. The house was immaculate and had all of the items you need for vacation living. My only gripe is that we were NEVER home to see the sunset! I would advise guests to bring beach chairs and beach towels if you decide to visit Sand Beach which is stunning. The water is cold so maybe don't plan on a swim without a wet suit. We made breakfast every morning and then were out all day. The hike to the cove is a must as the walk itself and the destination are truly stunning and peaceful. My only regret is that we had to leave.

Wonderful stay!

Jennifer was very responsive with any questions we had, property was immaculate. Home is located in a very peaceful part of the island with fabulous views of sunset. Couldn’t have asked for more - would definitely stay here again!

Such a great location. The house is perfect for our family to stay on the island for the whole week. Quite side of the island, which is exactly what we were looking for. Gorgeous sunsets every night. Totally recommend.

Location was amazing

This is hands down one of the nicest places we've stayed in Bar Harbor. The home has all the amenities you could want and the location provides privacy and serenity. We will be returning!

We are a family of 5 and this was our second stay at Treetops and it was just as lovely as the first. The house is clean and well-equipped for a "home away from home" vacation. The deck/view, seclusion and private cove are the highlights of the property. The main attractions in Acadia NP are all within 15-35 minutes of the house, with closest access to some gems on the quiet side of the island. Don't miss Echo Lake and Southwest Harbor - two of our favorite spots.A couple of nuances worth noting in the house - there are three bedrooms upstairs (1 full, 1 queen, 2 twins) and one downstairs (2 twins with private bath). The twin room upstairs is the only bedroom without AC, however there are many fans available for use. The smaller full bath upstairs has a small window (covered with a hanging art piece) into a tucked away nook of the full bedroom. Nothing you can't overcome, but important to note when planning where your travel companions should sleep.The hosts are lovely and easily accessible via text. Highly recommend this home for a wonderful, relaxing vacation.

We loved this property—private, wooded, clean, and big enough to host six family members.While staying here, we read books on the deck and enjoyed the tree-line view and bay in the distance. Several of the sunsets were beautiful. And we did see several deer on two occasions.

Beautiful House and View

House and view were beautiful! Large enough for people to have their own space and great common areas to be together. Location next to Town Hill restaurants was perfect, and quick drive to Bar Harbor or Acadia. Would recommend and would stay again.
