Bass lake waterfront! Cozy 1 bedroom cottage minutes from Traverse City!

Escape to a cute and cozy cottage in Traverse City. This 500 square foot, 1-bedroom retreat offers a cozy living room with a comfy futon for flexible sleeping arrangements. The bedroom has a brand new comfy queen bed. The bathroom is clean and also, cozy, but functional. Our place is fun-sized but it is fully stocked with linens, towels, kitchen necessities, smart TV, futon, two comfy chairs, and small kitchen table. Outdoor amenities include gas grill, patio with furniture overlooking Bass Lake, double hammock, private beach frontage and fire ring, and two kayaks. Our family owns three other cottages on the same beach! If interested, I can send links so you can read more reviews! Feel free to reach out for more information. Bass Lake is the perfect setting for a large family vacation. Our cottages can accommodate 14 total guests. Note: there are steps down to the beach. If you have mobility issues, look carefully at the photos before booking.

Host was very attentive and answered questions immediately. View of water and accommodations perfect for the two of us. Comfortable bed and everything we needed. We will definitely rerun to this property and recommend to others.

Had a wonderful time. The cottage was very comfortable and relaxing. Would recommend it for others to enjoy. We had a clear view of the lake and talked with the host who was very friendly.

Beautiful location. Lake was warm and inviting. Fun and long fireworks display. The air-conditioner in the living room cooled it wonderfully. Full kitchen with gas stove and full sized frig. Jody was wonderful and accommodating.

We had an incredibly peaceful stay at the cottage. It’s close enough to Traverse City for the amenities, which is great! But nothing beats a bonfire on the beach while enjoying the lake. We will definitely stay here again!

Bass Lake is amazing. The lake is so incredibly clean and serene. We enjoyed outings on the lake in the provided kayaks and paddle board.

You know it’s a great stay when you’re sad to leave! Our anniversary trip at this cozy cottage was fantastic. Jody is a warm, caring host and very quick to respond to any questions. We appreciated the attention to detail in the cottage — little things that can make a VRBO feel like home, like Kleenex, extra dish towels and wash cloths, paper towel, full kitchen & anything you might need to cook, warm lighting for evenings, comfortable furniture, outdoor seating options, a grill, coffee pot and Keurig along with some coffee pods (my love language ), and comfy blankets throughout the cottage. Plus the entire cottage was extremely clean!We also enjoyed the fire pit, kayaks, and beautiful lake view. I loved having my coffee and quiet time out on the back porch each morning. It was also great being only about 15 min from Traverse City. We will definitely be back & recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway.

Peaceful

Our cottage was very quaint with a beautiful view of the lake. This was one of our most peaceful and restful vacations. The hosts of these cottages was not only very friendly but always helpful to meet needs.

Very Cute ideal get away for having a outdoor and traverse city experience. My Husband and I loved going on the Kyacks and we felt like we had the whole lake to ourselves! The perfect amount of room for a couple of a party of 4. The host was very sweet and responsive as well.

I was overall happy with the place. It was perfect for me amd my husband. The shower is very difficult to use due to the size, but i figured that would be the case based on the pictures. The only thing I would suggest is making sure all linens on the bed are clean. There was a suspicious stain on the comforter.

The view was lovely. Quaint cottage. The problem that made us leave two days early was the water. It smelled so bad I could not shower in it. Note: I am used to well water and it was not good.

As we tried to explain, we just put 15,000 into a new softener system. Well water by a lake will unfortunately rarely be perfect, but we tried our best! Many people stay with us and we rarely get complaints about the water (even before the new system). Again, we are sorry we couldn’t accommodate you.
