The smaller Cherry Bend Home is located right next to the large CB home. Located in beautiful Leelanau County. 2.5 miles from West Grand Traverse Bay and across the street from the TART trail which leads North to Suttons Bay and South to the beaches and restaurants of Traverse City. We are 4 miles from down town T.C. and have many wineries in the area Enjoy the up North while being minutes from town

This was a great place for our weekend getaway! Not too far from bigger cities/towns and a lot to do around the area. It was very clean and the communication with the host was great. We really enjoyed staying here, it was perfect for us!

The property was exactly described. It was perfect for 2. It is centrally located to all the beautiful surrounding towns. We highly recommend staying here.

I enjoyed my stay. Luckily didn’t have issues getting an uber, just plan to order the uber 20 mins earlier than normal being that this place is away from town. This review comes at summer times when Ubers are active. Great if you need clean and quiet place to sleep for a wedding. Thank you!

Nice quiet setting with many amenities. Close to all the Bay Area sites and attractions. We’ll definitely look to stay again next time we visit the area.

It was really close to the trails. My husband and I road 104 miles on our pedal bikes over our stay and we visited a lot of little communities that had great things to do. Very close to some wineries too.

Anniversary getaway

Cute cozy place. Close enough to everything Traverse City has to offer. Short drive to Leland which was a nice little town. Walking trail right down the road which was a plus.

Perfect for Us

My husband and I had a wonderful 5 day stay at little Cherry Bend. Jan is very hospitable and made sure we had everything we needed. It was in a good location for us as we traveled around the area and was the perfect size for 2. We would definitely recommend the apartment as we’re looking for next year ourselves.

Dawn, I am so sorry you said the house smelled musty. No one has said that before. My house is cleaned and sanitized after every single quest. And many different cleaning products are used in the process so maybe that is what They smelled. I thought you said you rented it for your son and his bride. Sorry again that you didn't like the smell but Glad they enjoyed there stay.

Great little place

Thus was a very quaint place for two! It has a breezeway between this and the larger home next to it. My only concern was it was curly fragrant and I have asthma. I prefer no scented wall plug ins or sprays.

Biking paradise!

The house is small as advertised but was very comfortable for a married couple in their 70’s. Jan is an amazing host and went above and beyond to provide everything needed for a relaxing atmosphere. We used the house as a base for biking the Lelanlau Trail to Suttons Bay 2 out of our four days in the area. Another day we drove to Charlevoix and biked The Little Traverse Wheelway. We visited Northport to see the lighthouse and Leland to see Fishtown and have dinner at The Cove (very good whitefish!) There is a lot to see and do in the area and we really enjoyed being a little outside of Traverse City. Thank you for a great stay, Jan!

Perfect for a Couple

This was my first time using this service (or any similar service) and I was quite nervous but the "small" house was the perfect get away for me and my wife. THe check-in process was similar, there was necessary information inside and the checkout process was just as simple. We were provided a phone number in case we had questions, problems, or concerns. We enjoyed the coziness of the living room, the firepit outside where we sat around for hours talking and playing games, and it is only a short ride into Traverse City, Sleeping Bear dunes and Glen Arbor. The owner had many of the forgettable needs covered and made sure we had everything we needed. Perfect place to stay for a perfect weekend away from the kids.

Hidden Gem for 2

This property is just as advertised. It's a small house perfect for 2 people looking to get away into the northern part of Michigan. The road it's on isn't too busy and is less than a minute bike away from the TART trail. We stayed when no one was in the other house, so I can't attest to what it would be like. The driveway is small, but if parked properly, can easily fit 2 cars. There is a fire pit out back, but we didn't end up having time to use it. One thing to keep in mind is that the shower space is small. It's a square shower that doesn't grant a lot of room to movement, so if you're bigger, you will have difficulty. I'm 6' 2" 200 pounds, and it was just big enough for me. The owner is great about communication, but we never needed her. I would definitely stay here again.

Our stay was ok, and the property was generally as pictured and clean. Communication with the owner was very good. However, as another review noted, the shower is very small. There were also a few unexpected inconveniences: a ‘no shoes’ policy noted on the door after arrival, which is tough with multiple bags to bring in; no usable closet space or coat hooks; and no outdoor lighting, making dark arrivals difficult because the switch is taped off saying “keep turned off”. Additionally, morning coffee on the patio wasn’t possible due to the 6am sprinklers soaking the furniture and the backyard backs up to a construction company storage yard.

Michael In response to your review I'm not quite sure what you meant about no usable closet space. The no shoes is to protect my carpeting. The note on the light switch is because that goes to the motion detector light out front and if that is turned off there will be no light in the dark. There was no mention to me about sprinklers coming on at 6:00 a.m. I could have taken care of that in a second and I would have. And as far as the backyard being a storage unit for a construction business it is not, we are waiting on a final permit to put up a building.

Had everything I needed. It was clean and orderly when I arrived. I was as in the area attending a wedding for the weekend and this was the perfect place to get ready for all the festivities. Very close to downtown Traverse city but just far out enough to feel like you were in the quiet country. Very happy with my stay and would highly recommend for anyone trying to enjoy Traverse city and the surrounding areas.
