This home features 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, 2 car garage and approximately 1400 sq.ft. of living space. Property is nestled in the woods and situated near the sixth hole of the Ye Nyne Olde Holles Golf Club. Home also includes 50 feet of sandy shared beach access to beautiful Lake Charlevoix. Enjoy swimming, kayaking, canoeing, paddle boarding and scenic sunsets. Downtown Boyne City is only an 8 minute drive! Where during the summer months you can experience 'Stroll the Streets' every Friday night. For your dining pleasure...there are great restaurants like Cafe Sante', Red Mesa or the Boyne River Inn among others. Plenty of quaint shops for those who may want to take home a few treasures. Only a 15 minute drive to Boyne Mountain for golfing, skiing and snowboarding. Boyne Mountain also features Avalanche Bay Water Park. There are a variety of activities in our area that should accommodate everyone in your group!

Great and Cozy Location!

Loved how close the house was to the lake/beaches, the 9 hole course behind it, and Boyne City! The property has many great spaces, especially the 2 car garage and deck/backyard setup! Would definitely stay there again!

Great getaway in excellent location

Stayed with a friend who was there to visit family. Owner was easy to work with, friendly and accommodating. Great property and convenient location to local towns. Lots of recreational activities in the area. Took the dog with us and had a great experience. We are looking forward to our next trip and would definitely stay at this location again!!

Beautiful backyard

This spot is perfect for kids. Backyard and porch are great to relax and enjoy. The kids enjoyed finding frogs and being in the woods

Reunion

Worked perfectly for our needs. Very clean, nicely decorated and well equipped. Home is located super close to my cousin's lake cottage where we spend much of our time.

Relaxing and peaceful

The property is lovely and peaceful. It’s very quiet, yet close to many parks and tourist destinations. It’s 30 minutes from Petosky and Charlevoix or an hour from Mackinac City. There is a public beach a mile away with a playground and picnic tables. It’s great for kids and families. We had a great time!

Very clean and accommodating

We stayed here in September of 2017. The weather was fantastic! The home itself is secluded, but close enough to Boyne City and Charlevoix and Petoskey to be convenient. The home was very clean. The beds and furniture were comfortable. Bob was very easy to work with, and a really nice guy. We will definitely be back!

Location for exploring

Great location in northern Michigan to visit all the hot spots between TC and Mackinac Island. Comfortable home.

Great Rental

Bob was so great to work with. His rental was clean and comfortable. It was a great spot for multiple families with young kids and our dogs. It was a quick drive to the beautiful beach at whiting park. The weather didn’t cooperate much, but the cottage was warm and welcoming. We enjoyed several day trip to Charlevoix, Petoskey, and Boyne City. Lake Charlevoix is such a gem. The kids didn’t want to leave. We are thankful for the memories.

Clean and private with great beach

We've stayed here twice now and have been very pleased. It is clean, well maintained and fully stocked. It's close to Boyne City, but far enough away to have some privacy. There is a nice size fire pit and deck in wooded backyard, which is right off the golf course. The beach is across the street, but is sandy and private. We will definitely return in the future!

Quietly secluded in the woods down a two track road with comfortable accomodations.

The home provides easy access to the activities in the Charlevoix, Boyne City, and East Jordan area. The large garage is great for a boat and all the wet lake toys for the grandchildren and adults. It was great that the owner provided wifi because cell phone service was poor. Cable TV was available but who has time for TV when on vacation with the grandkids. The golf course behind the home provided a scenic view of the golfers passing by as we enjoyed the expansive deck and backyard activities.

Wonderful place to stay

We picked this location because it was central to all the fun things we wanted to do. Within a reasonable drive, we were able to visit sleeping bear dunes, Petoskey, Charlevoix, and Mackinaw while calling this home. Bob was very easy to work with, very helpful, and always quick to respond. The house was perfect and had everything our family of 5 needed and it was nice to be able to cook breakfast and dinner there every night. Our 3 kids were very comfortable here and we had enough space to spread out, there is even a trunk of board games and puzzles to entertain. We used the beach several times during our stay and never saw another person while we were down there. If you are looking for a great house with a little privacy, this is your rental. If we are ever in this area again, we will happily rent from Bob!

Perfect place for our family

Very nice,clean place for us to meet and use for our week in the Boyne City area. We did not cook but the kitchen had everything that we would have needed. Being golfers, we enjoyed having the 9 hole course literally outside the back door. And the location was excellent for us to have short excursions to Harbor Springs, Petoskey, East Jordan, and Bellaire. Also enjoyed setting on the deck in the evening with the nice table and chairs. This cottage worked very well for us.

Perfect for our family of 4

This house was perfect for our family. Private road with beautiful view of golf course but still close to everything. Walking distance to Lake Charlevoix, short drive to Boyne City. Nicely decorated inside with everything you need.

Nice, spacious, clean, good location to many towns and site seeing.

Very nice private in the woods home. Roomy and clean. The private beach, however have to drive a short distance was very pretty and quiet, nice sandy beach! Also for a bigger beach Whiting Park a mile away is very nice for extended time on a beach with toilets. The homes deck was large and roomy spent time reading playing cards etc. The fire pit was nice for evening gatherings. We had cooler weather so we enjoyed exploring Castle Farms and Lavender farm and Pond Hill Farms, Lake Michigan all the near by cities for shopping and eating and great harbor views. Like Charlevoix and Harbour Springs, Walloon Lake, Petoskey or the Michigan Shore line tunnel of trees, to name or favorites. Great home for staying put or site seeing We even spent a day at Mackinac Island. Only downfall is the uncomfortable mattresses, but the rental fee is fitting. And a shovel in garage would come in handy for the few times a neighbor dog left his "goods" Diane Wilson

Hi Diane...first off, thanks for taking the time to write a review...with everyone's busy schedules today, we usually don't take the time! Based on your comments, we have included a shovel in the garage to take care of the neigbor's dog's "business" and earlier this week, I replaced the king and queen mattresses with new mattresses! This cottage was perfect for my family.

We stayed here for the first time the last week of July 2017. It was perfect for my family of 5 and a friend. We were also able to bring our dog which is so nice to have him along with us. The cottage had everything we could need, kitchen supplies, towels etc. The interior designs were updated and had a homey feel that made it easy to relax. Although it was a few miles from Boyne City, the drive to and from was so nice along the lake we didn't mind it at all. The lake access was a short little walk up the road and was secluded, private and just beautiful!! We would highly recommend this place.

Great vacation spot

We had a great time and enjoyed our stay. The cottage was very neat and clean. We really liked the county beach that was only a couple miles away. We spent time in Boyne City, Charlevoix, Petoskey, and Mackinac Island, so it was a nice central location to several of our favorite spots. Thanks for sharing your home with us.

Peaceful Hideout

We stayed in the winter months and thought it was very comfortable. We truly enjoyed the peace and tranquility that this home has to offer. It is 3/4 of a mile from some awesome hiking trails on one side of the road, or a stroll along Lake Charlevoix Beach along the Whiting Park Campground. If you want total privacy a block down the road is a lot on Lake Charlevoix that goes with the property. It's a very nice beach to bask in the sun.The home is aprox 6 miles from Boyne Cty, 9 miles from East Jordan. If you are looking for a great place to hang out, read a good book and relax, look no more.

Fabulous week!

This is the second time I have rented this house. Bob,the owner is very available and accommodating. There is no air conditioning, but there were several fans and it cooled off in the evening. The kitchen is well equipped. The bedroom on the first floor has bunk beds and the bottom bunk mattress is challenging if an adult sleeps on it. But there is a roll away bed in the closet as an option. The house was clean and comfortable. About six miles from Boyne City and the view of Lake Charlevoix driving into town is is SO beautiful. Lots of deck space if you like to BBQ and deck off upstairs bedroom was special.

Nice Family Trip

We had a lovely time and there was plenty of space for all. It was a little too tucked away for our liking, but the home itself was nicely kept. Bob was very helpful and quick to respond to our request t trim the weeds--done first thing the following morning! Bob was also helpful in finding some nice restaurants in the area. Boyne City was a great place to spend the evenings walking through the shops and along the water. Thanks for a nice family vacation!

Extended Stay

My wife and I rented the home in the summer and later for an extended stay for 3 months, Oct.-Dec., 2014. We enjoyed our time there. The large lot is adjacent to a beautiful golf course with fantastic views. The heavily wooded area gives a feeling of seclusion but is not to far away from Boyne City and the Ironton Ferry for trips to Charlevoix. The large garage is great for storage and for keeping your vehicle in. The large lower deck is nice for sitting and watching the golfers and makes for great entertaining because of the expansive built in seating. The interior is in good condition and has adequate furniture and sleeping arrangements. Our son and wife loved the upper suite with the deck and private bath with a garden shower. The kitchen was well stocked with many new items that Bob purchased. The appliances all worked well including the stacked washer and dryer. Basically you need not bring anything when renting except personal items; towels, linens, etc. are numerous. The owner, Bob, was fantastic to deal with concerning any problems. One call and he took care of the concerns 100%. Feel secure with this home rental and enjoy the area. Dave and Linda Lintner

Great retreat

This charming home set in the woods is a great place to relax and take in all the Boyne/Charlevoix area has to offer, which is plentiful. Bob and Mary are very welcoming hosts and always able to answer questions and provide suggestions as to area dining or activities. They have renovated this home and the décor is updated and like a B and B. We liked the open concept for the living/dining, and kitchen area. The big deck is great as well. It backs to a golf course so it's great for those that want to be close to a course. Early morning does bring the golf course lawnmowers near the back of the home but they aren't there for long. We have stayed here three times and enjoyed all our stays.

We were both born and raised in Michigan and truly enjoy the four seasons that Michigan has to offer! Boating & golfing in the summer and skiing & snowboarding in the winter...a truly year round resort area. Lake Charlevoix is a short walk and Boyne Mountain is a short 15 minute drive away.

When we purchased this cottage...we fell in love with the high ceilings, quiet setting and its location - having access to the lake didn't hurt either. The home had been vacant for quite some time and we had fun restoring it back to life!
