Overall a great place to stay on the beach. Really nice location with a short easy walk onto the beach. We had one small snag where one of the bathroom doors was locked when we arrived. We got it resolved by calling the village realty phone number though.

Great place for our family. Plenty of room for everyone. Easy access to beach and the pool was fantastic too! Perfect location to enjoy the OBX.

All reviews should be excellent but it is cut off so I had to hit Good instead. Everything was beautiful and just as advertised! The kitchen had everything you could possibly need, and there were books and beach chairs already there and ready to use. We had a wonderful time!The only drawback—and this is absolutely no fault of the owners, as I’m sure they have no control over it—is the early morning noise from the community maintenance schedule. Monday is dumpster day, and the trucks start emptying them at the crack of dawn (7:30 a.m.). Tuesday, the landscapers arrive at 7:30 a.m. to blow the sand off the walkways. Wednesday, the weed whackers start up right outside the unit at—you guessed it—7:30 a.m.! Thursday through Saturday were peaceful and quiet.So, just a heads-up: if you’re hoping to sleep in and enjoy some quiet mornings, don’t count on that happening until Thursday! Other than that, we had a wonderful stay!

We enjoyed our stay in August Recess. It was conveniently located close to the pool. The kitchen was pretty well stocked with the essentials. The ice machine was a plus. I would definitely stay here again!

Amazing April stay- perfect beach weather. On the beach. Walk way/ gazebo newly built. Very close to stores/ Kitty Hawk, Roanoke Island, Lighthouse and outlet stores. Kitchen well stocked. Professional linen service/ clean up crew.
