Welcome to Tangerine Dreams! Located on the beach in South Nags Head this cottage is exceptional for it’s authentic beach cottage feel with the modern updates that make your vacation on the Outer Banks become a tradition and not a visit. . Nestled behind the dunes with it’s own pier to the beach and a sunrise dune deck, the cottage has been updated with Central Air/Heat and a truly “one of a kind” outdoor shower/bathroom. With 3 bedrooms, the cottage sleeps 7: with two Master Bedrooms, One Bunk room with trundle bed and a futon bed in the den for that uncle that showed up unannounced and snores. In case you were wondering, there is an indoor bathroom as well. Built in the 1950’s, this cottage is located in walking distance from the Nags Head Fishing Pier. While South Nags head is sought after for it’s wide beaches and low density without the commercial sprawl, the Pier offers excellent live entertainment, fishing, great shrimp happy hours, and karaoke. The cottage is also conveniently located minutes away from the famous fishing grounds of Oregon Inlet in one direction and minutes away from Historic Manteo in another. For the City Slickers, the Tangor Outlet Mall is also 10 minutes North. There is no better location on the Outer Banks than South Nags Head to appreciate the authentic beach vacation with minimal commercialism and yet still have access to the High bustle areas.

Overall it is a great house. We enjoyed 4 days Sept 9-13. The house is setup nicely, but some of the pictures could be updated. Tje wooden walkway, over the dunes, is virtually nonexistent. I absolutely loved tje outdoor bathroom and shower. Thinking of adding one to my house. It's very conveniently located and would be great for a regular family or group of 6-8 friends. We'll definitely book again, if available. Had issues with the wifi , but was cleared quickly by Zac.

One of my family’s favorite places to stay! This was our second year and can’t wait to go back. Perfect for a small family. Steps away from the ocean and the beach is not crowded in this area.

Tangerine Dreams was the perfect spot for our family vacation. The beach was just outside our door, and the property was incredibly clean when we arrived. Zac was great throughout the entire process.

We stayed at this property last year and loved it (forgot to review last time). The only downside is there is no washing machine or dryer. It is far enough away to not be in the crowd but a short 10-15 minute drive to food and shopping. The kitchen is well stocked. We loved the outside shower to rinse off after a day at the beach and the water hose next to the walkway back to the house to rinse the sand off our feet.

I loved drinking my coffee inside the screened in porch in the morning. We kept our beach towels, charcoal, shoes, cooler inside the screened in porch. You walk through the front door you immediately feel that ac blow on you. It was pretty easy to keep out the flies, if you get a few fly swatters are hung by the side fridge. This little cottage was such a vibe especially because it has the classic beautiful woodwork. The bathroom was updated and clean. We have a toddler and 2 older kids so the outdoor toilet was awesome when you are spending the day at the beach- you didn’t have to worry about cleaning them off really good and dragging sand into the house. The owner is 10/10 he is super kind. I would definitely stay here again.

This cottage sitting right on the beach was perfect for our Nags Head getaway. An excellent location, tucked right behind the dunes and steps away from the ocean! The cottage was clean, fully furnished and kitchen stocked with necessities should you want to cook or eat at home rather than going out. The front porch with adirondack chairs was ideal for afternoon cocktails and morning coffee. We loved Tangerine Dreams and will be returning for sure. And the host was super responsive. A hidden gem in the OBX!!!

The house was a well-kept older home that had a small but friendly kitchen dinning living room with a large table that was great for playing cards! bedrooms were just right and the bathroom neat and clean!

We had the absolute best week ever! Wonderful house that we fell in love with! Everything we needed for cooking meals with a well stocked kitchen. The access to the beach was perfect for an easy walk and hauling our fishing gear. Will definitely be back!
