Boulder Back Cottage is a newly renovated cottage located in a quiet neighborhood within walking distance to Main Street, Lake Placid. The main floor boasts 2 bedrooms, each with an en-suite bath, a modern, fully equipped chef's kitchen, and a comfortable living room with a propane fireplace. The downstairs area features a family room with a TV, a sleeping area, a full bathroom, and a laundry room. Guests are welcome to use the private beach on Mirror Lake, just a short walk from the cottage. Bring your own canoe, kayak, or paddleboard and enjoy all that Mirror Lake has to offer (closed to guests each day from 4-7 pm). Fully fenced in back yard and patio with Weber grill, propane fire pit and outdoor dining table. Off street parking for 2 cars. 2025 STR-0399

Great location and access to the private beach was amazing, especially with kids. The ability to walk into town was appreciated and having an enclosed yard was perfect for our dogs. Easy communication.

This home is beautiful!! The De or is very ADK! The host was helpful - even helping to find a place for our third car (the main road - Mirror Blvd - permits overnight parking -just down the road). Our family will definitely be renting again!

Walked in to a beautiful kitchen/living room space, the king bed so comfortable and we loved the fireplace. The backyard was a perfect sitting area and the private beach access was perfect. We loved walking our 2 labs around the circle, and letting them take a dip in the lake. We’d like to come back for ski season. Just note, the gate on the fence wasn’t very secure and some basic toiletries like shampoo would have been helpful. An excellent weekend away, thank you!

Nice Place to stay, Obviously we have been back 4 consecutive year.

Clean, convenient, quiet. Access to the private beach is great. We really enjoyed it and are planning on doing it again this year.

The property was clean and in a great location. We have stayed in Lake Placid many times and at other rentals. We were disappointed in the sparse amount of some essential housekeeping items ( toilet paper, dishwasher pods, detergent, etc.) If we had known this prior to arrival, we would have come more prepared.

Wonderful home! Very clean and well stocked. Awesome location and access to the beach. Also a perfect yard for my dogs. Carrie is quick to respond. We had an amazing stay and would definitely stay here again!

Hidden Gem

We loved our stay! The neighbors were great and the property is in a perfect place to either make a quick run into town or relax away from it all. Lots of bathrooms and bedrooms. You will love it here.

Lake Placid Fun

We had a great time staying at the cottage. Everything was clean and ready to go when we arrived. The access to the beach at Mirror Lake is wonderful! It's also an easy walk into town and around the lake. We will be back!

We love this house, enjoy the easy communication with Carrie and appreciate that our labradors can join us. We have rented this house for the last 3 years and are already booked for next year. Clean, nicely appointed, comfy. Love the location as well.

Just Right!

The beautiful renovation of this property maximizes the space making it a perfect fit for our family of six. We actually felt like we could have had two more people join us but the property rules state max of six. Thank you for allowing our family to make some great memories. The access to the beach was a great bonus.

We had a great stay at this pet-friendly house and communication with the host was super easy and flexible! Very clean, comfy beds and fenced yard for our dogs. Short walk to the private beach access was great. The distance to town was a bit farther of a walk for our young kids than we thought when booking, it was at least 20 minutes walk into the main st of town on either side of the lake, but still very conveniant.

This was a perfect set-up for our family. Everyone in our family had enough room for privacy and comfort. Layout set itself up for an amazing family vacation. The lake access provided amazing views! Highly recommend !

Lovely home, great back patio w nice location.

This is our third time renting this home, yes we are reserved for next year as well. The home is well appointed with a n open floor plan and very clean. Beds are comfy and the kitchen is well stocked. The patio is nice. The grill works great and evenings with the gas fire pit are wonderful. This was the first time we brought our two labs. We appreciated the fenced yard and the pups loved swimming each morning in Mirror Lake. Carrie was very responsive and helpful.
