Come stay at The Gilded Gateway: Cabin, 10 minutes from the Historic Mariposa & 1 hour to Yosemite El Portal entrance, offering many opportunities for recreation, relaxation, dining, and adventure.

The Cabin, Built in the 1880s has a story of its own with a connection to the rich Gold Mining History of Mariposa. The seasonal Creek in the back of the property has water flowing from winterish till late to early summer, offering the opportunity to go Gold panning.

Please enjoy your stay at our Gilded Gateway Cabin.

Make the Gilded Gateway: Cabin your home. The Cabin is 1100 SQFT and features
2 bedrooms: the Miners Suite offers a full bed and a Bathroom with shower only.

The Cadets' Room has 2 twin beds, and there is also another separate Bathroom with a bathtub only.

The living room offers additional sleeping space for 2 with a queen-sized futon and extra linens.

We were informed by one of the guests of the amazing skies our open meadow has! I'm the astronomer, or even an avid person who studies the skies but I'm aware we do get some amazing star gazing opportunities. our guest shared we are in a good visibility area, Bortle Class 4. I know as times we've been able to make out many galaxy shapes while relaxing under the stars.

our exterior of the property is still in rehabilitation. some unfinished areas exist outside please be forgiving while we work to complete these areas, share any input ideas as they are welcome. no health risk present and walkway are clear!

The cabin was fun and creatively decorated. I was impressed with the thoughtfulness of the provided snacks, kitchen appliances and charming atmosphere. The only reason I didn’t rate 5 stars is that operating the shower was tricky and we had an alarm that went off but the hosts took care of it immediately. I would love to return into the springtime as there is a stream bed and rock formation on the property that would be beautiful to see. We were two couples and it was good but I imagine it would be great for families. Kids would think it was an adventure to stay there. The stained glass window was gorgeous, the kitchen was convenient and attractive. There was a washer and dryer, barbecue and nice patio outside. I would happily rebook this.

Historic Mariposa is amazing, founded in 1850 it offers so many unique shops, outdoor activities, museums, restaurants and small town culture you can't find anywhere else. With Yosemite in your backyard., it offer many opportunities for a New Adventure

Qué distingue a esta propiedad

Our cabin is on an 8 acre property, that has a seasonal creek. It was part of the gold mining operations during its time. Originally built in the 1880's it offers a unique experience with modern amenities. There are televisions in each bedroom and the living room, there are mini split AC/heaters units in each bedroom and living room.
