Looking for the ultimate vacation experience in the heart of nature? Escape to this delightful cabin in the beautiful northern Minnesota wilderness. Our cabin offers breathtaking views that will leave you in awe. Our place is nestled on a very private property, on a calm bay of Bear Island Lake. You will have plenty of opportunities to spot local wildlife and listen to the songs of the great Minnesota loons. Enjoy a day making memories swimming & floating on the bay, kayaking on the open water and fishing to your hearts content! Bear Island lake has 2 public boat launches and we have a large dock where you can park your boat during your stay. For a day away from the cabin both Babbitt and Ely provide challenging golf courses and miles of hiking trails. In the evening you can enjoy a cozy campfire, roasting marshmallows and endless stargazing! The Babbitt Ely area has incredible trails to ride your SXS.

Inside the cabin you will find a master suite with 1 queen bed and 1 twin with a full bath, the second bedroom has 1 queen bed. The second full bathroom features a 22 in soaking tub! We have a spacious living area with a smart TV and WIFI. The kitchen has all of the tools you need to whip up a fabulous dinner to share with family. For those that prefer to grill while on vacation, we have one of those just out the sliding door on a large deck.

In the winter the lake brings access to snowmobile trails and miles of cross country skiing or snow shoeing! This cabin is only a short drive to the town of Babbitt as well as beautiful down town Ely! Ely has a variety of great shopping a dinning options. Don't forget to stop by the Wolf Center and learn all about the Timberwolves in northern MN. For those interested in a day of downhill skiing or snow boarding we are only about 30 miles from Giants Ridge ski resort as well.

Our cabin is perfect for friends and families looking to create unforgettable memories , have fun and experience the best nature has to offer. With plenty of activities to keep everyone entertained with a chance to unwind in a truly peaceful place, you wont want to leave!

This is a beautiful property on a gorgeous location. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking, And there are a number of other very nice touches that made our week relaxing and special. Highly recommended!

This cabin was cuter to see in person compared to the photos online. Host was fantastic with communication and thoughtful about my families needs. Cabin was clean with a well appointed kitchen. Lovely view of the lake and so peaceful. Glad we got to experience the Babbitt - Ely area and stay at this property.

The setting was gorgeous and the best fishing was very close to the cabin. Lots of great outdoor space to hang out. The eclectic decor was fun. I’d love to hear the stories behind the unique items throughout the cabin. The walk in shower in the en suite was wonderful. We could fully relax and enjoy ourselves it was so peaceful!! The communication with the host was wonderful. Highly recommend.

It was great: checked all our boxes. Clean, beautiful view, good kayaking and wildlife, easy to get to town when necessary, very responsive and helpful host.

We really enjoyed our view of the lake from the cabin, using the provided kayaks to paddle around the lake, and the secluded space to relax and unwind. We drove to a couple hiking trails (maybe a 20-30 minute drive from the cabin) and tried fishing out on the deck. Just a reminder to all- make sure you have a fishing license if you plan to fish. I had a DNR officer pull up his boat to the dock and ask to see my fishing license and my husband’s. The host was kind and answered all our questions. Thanks for a fun, relaxing stay!

Wonderful spot!

Everything was very clean and true to the listing. It was a great location. We enjoyed the kayaks. We were happy to see beavers and loons during our stay on the lake. The host was quick to communicate back when we had questions.

Great place to stay very homey. Generous accommodation like a two kayaks and a bunch of entertainment options like floaties. Lake is difficult to swim in very comfortable and clean water just lots of rocks. Bring water shoes if you plan on swimming.

Lovely location on the lake. Cabin is older but very cute and comfortable. Enjoyed visiting Ely and the shops and amenities there. Fishing was good. Caught enough for two meals and froze enough for two more meals at home. Boat launch is conveniently located close by. We would book again.

Restfully wonderful! Everything was perfect! The tub was a bubble bath dream! Actually got to watch the trees day by day change into magnificent colors. Wildlife galore and fun to watch. Definitely will be a return adventure we are looking forward to!!

Fantastic! The property was exactly what was advertised. The view from the cabin was stunning. We did a little fishing off the dock and caught one Walleye. We didn't fish for very long. We had six adults and it was still a good fit. We were very thankful to be able to use the washer and dryer. The four-wheeling trails were extremely dusty.The host was easy to contact and responded very quickly to any of our questions.I / we all highly recommend this cabin!Thank you!

Northwoods beautiful retreat

This home up in the woods has an amazing view of Bear Island Lake. It is very private and peaceful. The home decor includes many items from the 1950s but is well furnished with modern amenities including wifi, internet TV, comfortable beds and furnishings. The Nespresso coffee machine is makes an amazing cup of coffee in the morning. The owners were very responsive and terrific to work with.

Amazing, cozy cabin with incredible views and lakefront access!

This place was fantastic! Cozy with a ton of cabin charm--it felt like home the minute we walked in. There's a nice blend of outdoor and throwback furnishings with some modern updates that make the home an amazing place to spend time with family and just relax at the lake. We brought our own kayaks, but our teen utilized one of the ones on property as well to try out something different. The large porch has a great view and was a nice place to have an outdoor dinner. The giant firepit overlooking the lake was a fantastic feature. The cabin overlooks a quiet bay area where we could fish from the dock or swim when the winds picked up and we didn't want to paddle in a bigger section of the lake. This was the most relaxing vacation spot we've been to in a long time, but enough amenities with the lake that there was no shortage of fun to be had. It's a close drive to Babbitt and Ely as well, so easy to get out of the woods for a bit if you want to grab dinner or go shopping.

We loved this property even more the second time we stayed. A brand new bathroom was a treat! The house is clean and comfortable, the view is beautiful, the lake is quiet, access to Ely and Babbitt is convenient (for groceries, restaurants, and daily Mass), and the owner is very responsive and delightful. We've already made reservations for next summer!

The cabin was great and had some charm. Kitchen well stocked with dishes, clean, good size. The view was amazing! The lot was steeper than anticipated. The road was a little tight for backing up the boat trailer to the driveway. The host was easy to communicate with and had good recommendations.
