Do not hesitate to book this home!

I said home instead of house because it feels like home when you're there! We LOVE this place! Jason and Moni have thought of everything you could need while staying there! This is our second time staying there and I'm already flipping the calendar to book for next year :) Just do it, you won't be disappointed!

Cozy, Clean & Thoughtful

We stayed for 4 days and everything is labeled, clean, so cozy and provided a home away from home feel- the kids enjoyed the stay as much as we did. There were thoughtful and useful details all throughout retreat. Comfy, clean bedrooms/bathrooms and living room area as well as the rec room were amazing. Swim spa and outdoor area for dogs was awesome! Our host was kind and communicated clearly leading up to and during stay wonderfully! We can’t wait to visit again! Absolutely beautiful atmosphere✨

the ultimate relaxing get away

This property was incredibly clean, well organized, and thoughtfully set up to make sure guests are comfortable and happy. The backyard was fully (and safely fenced) for my dog and they even had dishes set out for her when we arrived. We will certainly return next year to this rental as it was top notch and five stars do not do it justice!

Perfect place for a perfect trip

Everything is just as described. Well kept comfortable beds and linens. Swim spa was great especially since memorial weekend was a bit chilly. Owner is quick to respond and very pleasant. Would definitely stay again.

Short but sweet stay

We had a wonderful stay at Birch & Bark Retreat. It was just a quick, two-night stay. Jason, the host, was very attentive via text whenever we had questions. We had a blast playing pool, ping pong, arcade basketball, video games, watching movies in front of the fireplace, and relaxing in the hot tub! All of the instructions were super easy to follow and well laid out.

Our new favorite place up north

We booked a new cabin in the woods for 2026. We couldn’t have been happier!! The place is perfect! Clean, cozy, beautiful decor, hot tub is over the top nice! Close enough to town for dining and shopping. Kids loved the basement play area. Wi-fi worked well. I could go on and on……highly recommend!

A Great Retreat

We had an amazing stay at the Birch & Bark Retreat. It was the perfect place to relax and cozy up on the couch, but still close to Petoskey for a little day trip. All the amenities are great, it's a great place to have fun with 2 people or the whole family.

Tremendous spot to have a getaway. We had 2 little kids that were in love with the place right away, and 6 adults that immediatelyfelt right ar home. The hot tub was a huge hit and very well maintained, the property is beautiful and serene, the whole "gym" area kept the kids entertained from sun up to sundown. I cannot say enough good things about this place and the host. Jason was a tremendous host, and a great communicator. Would 10/10 come here again

Perfect Weekend at Birch & Bark Retreat!

We had a wonderful stay at Birch and Bark Retreat! The house is private and spacious with a lot to do while staying on the property. The entire family (including our dog) had a blast playing games at the kitchen table and in the basement or relaxing in the hot tub. This was the perfect getaway location for a quick ski trip up to Northern Michigan! We will definitely be back!

Very cozy and neat place! Lots of thing to do, including a children’s gym area and toys. Everything was clean upon arrival. I appreciate how well equipped and labeled the kitchen and home was. Will definitely rebook and recommend to family and friends.
