This review was unexpected. This gentelman and his wife had several opportunities to share concerns with us during their stay. In fact, after their first night, they congratulated us in person on the cottage without mentioning any issues. During their visit, a strong storm caused a neighborhood-wide power outage. We stayed in close communication and, to ensure their comfort, even reserved a hotel room nearby at our expense, though they chose not to use it. The ceiling height is clearly noted in our listing, and because we are newer hosts, we’ve specifically asked all guests for feedback on this. Over 90% of them have told us it’s perfectly fine and enjoy the cozy layout as is. For guests who may prefer more space or ease of movement, there is also a queen sofa bed available on the lower level. It seems that mobility and agility may have played a role in their discomfort, which is understandable but not a reflection of the property’s suitability for most guests. We do feel it is an overstatement to call the home “inhabitable.” Had any concerns been shared with us during their stay, we would have been happy to provide solutions. Instead, they declined assistance, expressed no issues in person, and later posted this review.
