It’s a nice little place with a good yard. The street was much less busy traffic wise than what I thought it would be.

Lots of space

Quirky but perfect for us

It’s on a busy road, but the yard is fenced. The easy walk to the beach was very nice. The heat worked great, which was good, because it was a cold weekend!

Perfect home with alot of space.

Excellent stay. House was exactly as described in listing, no surprises. Older home with a lots of charm. All appliances and furnishings were up to date and entire unit was very clean. Parking was off street and spacious.. Would definitely stay there again.

True norfolk ocean experience

Great fun at wonderfully quirky hone right next to the water. Got the sense of being old school norfolk holiday family. Lots of construction happening with the motorways in the area so be sure you arrive during the daytime. Had a super time. Perfect for exploring Newport News, Williamsburg, Jamestown, Norfolk, Yorktown and the Delmarva peninsula

Older home with nice kitchen

Older home with it's own character. Did mention to owner, that not enough coffee cups & drinking glasses for more than 4 people.

Major repairs need to be done to this property

Out of the 5 bedrooms they advertise, only 2 have privacy. You can't even use the king bedroom because the roof leaks. The only bathroom on the 2nd floor can only be access by going through 2 of the bedrooms. Overall, until they do some work to clean this property up, I would now recommend it at all.

Thanks for your review. We have checked for a leak and found there is none, but the window was left open, so that appears to be the issue.

Great Space and Location, Poorly Maintained

We really loved the location, 5 minutes along a private path to a nice, fairly private beach. There was also a lot of space in the house, with the caveat that three of the five sleeping areas (counting the King loft upstairs) all share the same entryway, and aren't really private from each other. The kitchen only had a few spoons and knives, but we bought more and left them behind (you're welcome to those who stay after us!). The biggest downside was the poor state of the house (there wasn't a specific category for this, but I would give it like a 2/5). I knew it would be an old house when we booked, but I didn't realize so much of it would be falling apart! There were exposed nails everywhere, electrical fixtures hanging from sockets, a shower door that falls to the floor and shatters if you try to move it, several windows that are falling apart or unable to close, etc, etc. I think with some care and attention, this place would be worth 4 stars, easily. But as-is, I'm giving it 3...
