This property is unique, pleasurable and very roomy. It is clean with a well-stocked kitchen. The location is excellent. I would recommend to anyone staying in the Dana Point general area.

Overall it was a good experience, we left a day early….. it was nice in architecture, could use some deep cleaning, no screens on the doors or windows, ac was on but didn’t really cool that good. Yes it was close to the beach and shopping, a lot of noise from the young bucks down stairs….. the bed and couch was comfortable.

A uniquely historic home, furnished in a Spanish historic manner. - a cool find for SoCal. Very good location - it seemed like we were always going up and down Golden Lantern, just a block away. Well-stocked kitchen. Always nice to have breakfast on the upper deck.

Terrific location walkable to just about everywhere in main areas of Dana Point. Having A/C was a huge plus as we hit a heat wave when there. The only con was the bed was somewhat soft and indented where people have slept. I filled in the indentation with a folded beach towel and slept well. It is an old historic place so not modern at all, but it has personality and we loved it. Coffee on the front deck every morning, smart TV for shows at night.

We had a lovely, relaxing time in this amazing Spanish revival historic home. The second floor one bedroom floor is large and rich in character, with multuple balconies including a cozy main balcony with distant ocean views. We enjoyed a perfect weekend retreat within close walking distance of many shops and restaurants. Truly special!

Absolutely beautiful place inside and out, great kitchen and amenities for cooking. It’s a very romantic setting and looks true to photos, perhaps even better. Would definitely recommend.

My stay at the Violet Lantern Spanish revival property was fantastic! The view, ambience, charm, quiet and prime location was outstanding! My host John was wonderful, professional and quick to respond to any question. I have recommended this amazingly charming home to friends in SC. Thanks again-I can’t wait to return to Dana Point.

Amazing place to stay

We could not have stayed at a better place then this incredible home. This was the perfect place to celebrate our 10th wedding Anniversary. I am quite sure that we will stay here again.

Beautiful and close to everything you need

Had a wonderful stay here and loved the house and location. Pretty convenient to everywhere we wanted to go. Great views from our balcony, grill on back balcony, comfortable bed and plenty stocked with kitchen cookware and utensils. Great features and accents throughout were true to history of the home

Lovely Dana Point getaway

This house is so unique! Very comfortable, loved spending time on the balconies. Lots of stairs, but well worth the views. Everything is walkable from this place with lots of restaurants and activities nearby. Just a note that they do not provide any reserved parking - you are in your own with whatever street parking is available, which can be challenging on busy weekends.

Wonderful Weekend

Excellent location. Fantastic ambiance. We were in town to celebrate our anniversary and attend a wedding in San Juan Capistrano. Couldn't have picked a better place. We loved everything about it.
