Perfect getaway in this countryside cottage nestled in nature but walking distance to town center. Spend some relaxing time watching the creak run by, walk or bike (provided/bring own) on the 26mi flat scenic Harlem Valley Rail Trail from the cottage. Enjoy the evening sitting by the fire/comfortable patio. Visit the 60’s themed movie theater and restaurant walking distance, near by brewery/winery/cafe/restaurants, wedding venues, Lime Rock Racing, skiing. Direct train to Wassaic from MetroNorth

Located on the dead end street this cottage is fully re-done, spacious with 4 comfortable bedrooms (1 bedroom downstairs and 3 upstairs) 2 baths, (1 downstairs, 1 upstairs.). Secluded next to a creak and forest. Fire pit with outdoor seating, hammock, indoor and outdoor games, bicycles.

The cottage is located in walking distance to the center of Amenia, yet you will have so much privacy that it feels as if you are in the woods by a creak. A scenic walking trail is a short walk from the cottage. Close to Line Rock and many ski mountains. The grocery store is within walking distance as well as many restaurants: ManyPeggy’s Sweet and Savory (Breakfast/Lunch) at 3312 NY-343,

Plenty of car parking in private yard of the house. You do not need a car to go to town, restaurants and stores.

There are two security cameras, one at the front and one at back door.
The price changes depending on the number of guests. Please be sure to indicate the correct number of guests.
Don't worry if you forget to bring some essentials. The cottage has the following upon your arrival: coffee, coffee filters, tea, sugar, salt, pepper, oil, 1 roll of paper towel, garbage bags, laundry detergent, plenty of towels, 2 rolls of toilet papers, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, tooth brush/paste, hair comb, hair dryer and iron.
The cottage can host UP TO 8 guests, but the price shown in your inquiry is according to the number of guests indicated in your inquiry. Guests not counted for in the booking, will be subject to price correction after your stay.
No parties! No smoking inside! No visitors or extra guests without asking!
Please do not leave doors or windows with no screens open as the house will fill up with mosquitos.
There are two security, motion cameras, one at each entrance door, looking at he entrances only, with 10 seconds recoding at a time.
No shoes in the house. No candles or open fire inside.
There is open body of water, a creak by the house, you must supervise your children at all times.
Upon leaving: Please lower heat to 60F/turn of all AC’s and lights. Leave beddings on the beds. Wash your dishes and leave them in the dish drain or place them in the dishwasher. Place any garbage in the garbage cans at the front of the driveway.
Make sure front and back doors are locked and windows are shut.
When you leave for longer periods of time please lower heat/higher AC and turn lights off.
To use the bicycles: Please fill in and sign the waiver form in the provided folder with all names of participants. All adults must sign the form. Take a picture of the form and text it to me. Once that is completed, I will send you the bike lock code.
