What a great place for our family of 4 to stay! We enjoyed the views of the lake and the hot tub at the end of each day. The place was very clean when we arrived and the kitchen was well stocked for the breakfasts and dinners we did at home. Linda was very attentive and easy to communicate with. Cascade Beach Road is a quiet road and an awesome place for a morning walk!

Beautiful Lake Superior shoreline property. Very clean and comfortable beds with charm and easy relaxation. Charming place and hosts. Only complaint was the very sensitive smoke detectors that made cooking a bit challenging.

Nice property, nice location, excellent views. Stocked with everything needed and then some (coffee, hot chocolate, etc). Will definitely consider staying here again.

This was a beautiful location on the shore. We stayed for a weekend skiing at Lutsen. The drive to the mountain was only 10 minutes and worked perfectly for our family. We had everything we needed for our stay.

The VRBO was lovely! After we booked it for some friend's stay we realized that the rental was part of a house. We was worried that it would feel awkward for our friends. It wasn't at all! The VRBO is a separate all inclusive unit. It was very private even though attached to the main house. Don't let the fact that it is part of the house scare you away from renting! The view is BEAUTIFUL! The shoreline is classic Lake Superior, and the house sits close to shore so you can hear the waves. A nice stairway gets you down to the shoreline. A designated parking spot easily handled our friend's camper van. The location is close to Lutsen and Grand Marais. Great spot! Our friends have already asked when they can return-LOL! If there was any downside we would say that the one bathroom may make it awkward for 2 couples to share the space- but the other pluses outweigh that minus. Thanks for the lovely stay!

Cannot say enough good things about this property! Clean, beautiful, cozy, fully stocked, and the path down to the lake and fire pit with views of the lake were just dreamy.

Great location and property but important clarification on what you are rentingWe had a nice stay at this property. The Lake Superior location is what truly makes this place special, the views, the access to the shoreline, the fire pit right there with the lake in front of you. The property itself is clean and well maintained, and the owners were welcoming to us and our two dogs. We genuinely enjoyed our time here.That said, I want to flag an important discrepancy: the listing is categorized as "Entire home," but this is actually a separate lower-level unit within the owners' occupied house, not a standalone property. This distinction wasn't clear from the listing description. Because the owners live upstairs, we were aware of their presence and it understandably affected how we used the space. We arrived somewhat confused about the setup initially.The Lake Superior views and location are excellent, and the property itself is nice. But if you are booking because you expect a standalone rental with full privacy, this isn't it. The listing should be transparent about this arrangement so guests can make an informed decision. That clarity will actually help the right guests find this place and enjoy it for what it truly is.
