Boat docks, room for 3 boats. 15 minutes from Angleton, Lake Jäckson, Surfside and Freeport. 15 minutes by boat to marina, fishing charters available. The water is good for swimming. Beautiful home, very well stocked and very clean. Living room Furniture was very clean and comfortable. Beds were comfortable too. Lots of games for kids and adults to enjoy. Elevator was very convenient for luggage and groceries.

Very comfortable seating in living room. Very comfortable beds and linens. Nice, clean home. Well stocked kitchen. The elevator was helpful for older adults and luggage.

The place was amazing. Actually better than described. So much room. And the river outback is very nice. The owners were very friendly and prompt with everything. would highly recommend. We ended up getting an extra day just to relax and so glad we did.

The Bayou Shack was absolutely perfect - we had our daughters wedding at Magnolia Manor and had all the bridesmaids plus grandparents at the house — Love the fact that it was so senior friendly for elevators to recliners that lifted to a stand - to the big room on the third floor where all the girls could hang out and enjoy this moment all night long and not disturb the rest of us - fully stocked with all necessities - lovely decorated and clean and comfortable !! This place should be renamed the Bayou Castle!! The little ones loved the closets full of toys and fishing ! Thank you Amber for being a Super Host and so Easy to work with it just added to the magic of the weekend !!! Every person that stayed shared we truly had the perfect accommodation’s!

What a wonderful experience with Amber. She answered all my questions and the house was well equipped for us to host rehearsal dinner for my son that got married in Angleton. The bottom floor work well for cooking and creating a buffet line. Everything was labeled and easy to find. Thank you to the owners for opening up their house for rentals to host parties. The best touch was the elevator so my parents couls get to the main floor.

My husband and I live locally. We jokingly call ourselves "water people" because we feel at home on the water, we love to fish anywhere: offshore or inshore, in the bayou, in a lake, a river, or a pond. We love boating, especially sunset cruises at the end of a long day. And we enjoy just hanging out by the water, listening to some good music and watching the day pass. Life is better by the water!

Our family has enjoyed the bayou and this lifestyle for decades. We are happy to share our passion as we host other families and groups making happy memories together at The Bayou Shack.

Let the stress melt away as you watch the light reflect on the water. This house is located on the bayou such that you'll catch beautiful sunrises AND sunsets over the water.

There is something for everyone at this house. Some ideas: family reunions, boating/fishing activities with dock access for 3 boats, kayaking, lounging around on the many decks and outdoor spaces, plenty of room for indoor games, girl's weekends, etc.

The house is 6.5 miles from nearby wedding venues making it perfect for groups looking to make memories and spend time together while in town for a wedding.
