Pelican Place is a spacious lower level duplex cottage designed for easy, relaxed coastal living. This 3-bedroom retreat comfortably sleeps up to 6 guests and features a king master suite with private bath, a queen bedroom, and a third bedroom with two double beds, plus an additional full hall bathroom.

Enjoy a fully stocked kitchen, comfortable living area with plush seating, and dining space perfect for gathering after a day at the beach.

Guests also have access to a resort pool and spa, fish cleaning stations, private parking, and convenient outdoor hot and cold showers — everything you need for a laid-back Hatteras Island getaway.

Family Vacation

Wonderful beach getaway!

From start to finish this was a fantastic experience. This house is far superior to a hotel stay- steps from the beach, comfortable space with everything we needed, plenty of room to relax…I cannot speak highly enough about our stay here!

This place was so nice duting the busy week of july 4th it was not crowded stores was close by the house was roomy and very well furnished quiet neighborhood also

Clean house. Great support from property manager.

The house was clean and functioned as-advertised. The beach near the property is no longer surfable. However, it is a great sunbathing and fishing beach. We had five people. This property would still be quite comfortable with two couples and two singles.

Everything was perfect as advertised, just carpet could have been a little cleaner. No big deal, though. Wish the sheets had been on the bed already, but I probably missed that in the listing.

First family vacation in Buxton.

The property was exactly as listed, actually we were pleasantly surprised when we opened the door. House was nicely furnished and very clean. The view from the deck is amazing. We needed to contact the management to get a plunger for 1 of the toilets. Called they asked us we needed maintenance but i said no just a plunger and in a couple minutes we got the issue cleared. Check in was effortless. They text you the door code and you go right in. We will consider staying again.

Convenient location

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have stayed here for the last 10 to 12 years. The place is always clean and they have done a lot to maintain the property. This year was a little frustrating as the house wasn't rented to one group for the entire week. In the past it was required to book it for the week but this year two separate groups split the week which made for more noise from the upstairs unit from moving in and out and cleaning in between. Also the second group decided to play very loud and vulgar music from the balcony which was very disturbing. The beach area close to the house isn't the greatest as the tide comes up pretty high and there is a pretty substantial drop off to get to the water. Overall the people who manage the property are accommodating and friendly. Recommend staying in the top unit to avoid so much noise from people below.

When you make your next reservation we can double check that the folks staying in the unit above or below are booked for a full week, that way we can hopefully avoid any noise disruptions due to change over. If you experience loud music or guests during your next stay, please let the front desk know and we can ask them to lower their music. High tides can affect our beach and we are happy to recommend an alternative beach to visit within walking distance from the hotel. Thank you for your review. We look forward to your next visit.

Reviewer Comments: the condo was beautiful, love the island. this was our 2nd stay with this company. we only had a few problems someone ran over the water meter our first night so we had no water until 11am the next day. the only other problem was our upstairs neighbors were loud and drunk the whole week stomping on the floor until 3am in the morning. that being said i still love this place.

No fault of yours but maybe emphasize guiet times. Ground are not kept up like normal. Grass was very high with ticks.Found several on me and dog. Other than these issues it is a great place.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We absolutely love Lighthouse View for their location, comfort, amenities, peace/quiet and pet friendliness. The property was recently updated, which was wonderful. The dumpster was over-filled for a couple days but was emptied when I notified the front desk. The master bedroom had nice decorations, and the bed was extremely comfortable. I would recommend softer comforters to match the quality of the soft sheets, etc. The kitchen was stocked with like-new pots/pans, containers, utensils, etc., and other needs were taken care of by the helpful people at the front desk (i.e., cutting board, dishwasher pods, etc.). We've been staying at this location for about 20 years and will continue to do so and recommend it to our friends and family.

Button beach stay

It was ok and we enjoyed being close to the beach. Dolphins were swimming every day we stayed which was cool. I thot it was the place right on the ocean but it was not. They gave us a code for the pool and hot tub but they were both closed the entire time we were there which is a big reason why we chose this location so we were not happy. The outside shower was not working which made cleaning off the sand very difficult and the bathroom had mold. The water wasn’t working at the fish cleaning station either.

Our website indicates our pool and hot tub season is open from mid-May to mid-October, weather permitting, but would like to express our apologies that you weren't aware of that. In the winter season we turn off water to certain areas to avoid frozen pipes as outdoor showers and fish cleaning tables are more exposed to the elements. Again, please accept our apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused. We hope you will choose to stay with us again. In the future give us a call to the office and one of our on site staff members will help you navigate through the properties and match you with something that may better match you with what you are looking for.

Great Option

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My family and I had a wonderful time at the LightHouse View! The view and location are perfect. We loved the convenience of the outdoor showers, easy walk to beach and pool, furniture in decent shape and the beds were pretty comfortable. The unit was fairly clean when we arrived but there was evidence of leak in master bathroom, dirty dishes in the dishwasher (which is mostly broken inside), stains on the carpets, and grease on the stove. Despite all that, we will be staying again!

Nice, clean cottage

I really liked the location of this property. Not far from the beach. And it only took minutes to get what you needed as far as restaurants or grocery stores. We weren't interested in much else than the beach and some good food and this was the perfect area. Small issues with a couple of the blinds not closing easily or a lamp not working, but overall a fantastic little place. I wish the laundry was actually in the cottage and not underneath, but we only washed one load while down there because we were more interested in just having fun. The cottage was clean and the check in/check out process was very simple. The property manager was very responsive and helpful to questions we had. I would stay here again. They tell you some things to bring, but one that I didn't remember seeing was garbage bags which I highly recommend bringing.

We had a wonderful stay. So much room to stretch out for all of us. Cottage was very clean. Heads up on a few things to bring, laundry detergent and dry sheets as they supply several bath towels but to swap out for clean towels there is an extra fee, so I washed ours in the washer and dryer in the unit. Bring dish towels. Bring paper products as they will get you started but not enough for a 1/2 week stay. Overall it was wonderful. My only complaints are that the WiFi was cut off the night before check out. I understand the day of, but the night before esp when I paid for that night too, was disappointing. And the gas fireplace was not working, per management it was "not usable at the time" Normally I wouldn't care, but it being April it was windy and chilly 🥶 a few nights and the fireplace would have been a nice touch. Above all we will be back, the kids loved it and we loved being there.
