Swim, kayak or paddle board from our Beach!!!

Most people call our place Paradise and it truly is! We do live on the property but travel frequently so we may or may not be home when you visit. We are available if you have questions but you will have privacy. WE DO NOT ALLOW BIG PARTIES. Our maximum amount of guests is 6 people.

We have a beautifully furnished 1280 sq. ft. two bedroom, one bath garage apartment ready for your enjoyment.; MAXIMUM OF 6 PEOPLE. Our kitchen is fully equipped for your cooking needs. The kitchen-living area is a large, open space where you can still enjoy family time while cooking. The living area has a flat screen TV for your enjoyment. Both bedrooms have queen beds. The master bedroom has a TV with a DVD player. The living area also has a full size sleeper sofa. This apartment is situated directly behind our house (about 150' from the lake). Our property is located at the end of the street so we're secluded with lots of trees. We have a large dock with two boat slips and ladder (for swimming) plus a large seating area (no splinters-we used all recycled composite boards)! Enjoy our sandy beach area where kids can walk out into the lake to swim or sit and play in the sand (our grand kids love it)! Also enjoy our nice fire-pit area that overlooks the lake. It's a great place to roast marshmallows or hot dogs over an open fire in the evenings as you watch the moon come up over the main channel.

Bring your own boat or jet skis, there is boat launching nearby. Or, rent a boat by the day or week from What's Up Watersports, CS Rentals of LN, Lake Norman Marine and others that specialize in Jet Ski and pontoon rentals.

While our home is close to many good restaurants and other attractions you will feel that you have entered your own private retreat. We are about 10 miles from Mooresville, NC....also known as Race City USA. We supply your initial start up of toilet paper and paper towels. Enjoy all the comforts of home as you relax and build precious memories at our “Private Point” resort!! So.... come and enjoy!!! YOU'LL BE GLAD YOU CAME!!!

We supply a start up of toilet tissue and paper towels.

Toiletry items are NOT provided, such as bath soap, shampoo, toothpaste, etc.

PUBLIX SUPER MARKET AT THE VILLAGE SHOPPES IS ONLY 5.4 MILES FROM OUR PLACE. You'll find Joey's Restaurant, Pizza Hut, Mexican restaurant, Jersey Mikes and a Starbucks at this shopping center.
Across street is Hardee's, Taco Bell, Duncan Donuts, McDonald's, Cookout, etc.

This apartment was everything we needed for our 5-night stay on Lake Norman. Rex and Sandra really welcomed us in almost like we were extended family! They gave us great suggestions and Rex even showed us around the neighborhood. The beach access was amazing and felt very private and peaceful. We would definitely come back and stay in Rex and Sandra’s rental in the future!

Very good stay!

We stayed for five days and loved every minute- the property is beautiful and very clean - the owners were extremely nice and a pleasure to talk with. The lake was a short walk from the garage apartment and was awesome to hang out on all day! Would definitely come back and highly recommend.

Wonderful stay

We had an amazing stay. Sandra was a wonderful host- very friendly and responsive. We enjoyed the property so much- the kayaks, the fire pit, the beach, the dock, the large outdoor patio, the separate living spaces. It was absolutely perfect for our family. We certainly hope to return.

Great vacation place

We stayed at Sandra's place at end of June. We liked the sandy beach on the property, which is quite unique. Kids loved it, and we stayed a lot of time in the water and on the beach. The location is fairly quiet, far from the touristy places like Huntersville. This is great for lower water traffic if you rent a boat from the nearby marina. The owners are very nice people. Will definitely recommend.

Our hosts made us feel like we were staying with friends we haven’t seen in a while. So very welcoming and kind. They fit this peaceful place. The beach was amazing and such a perfect spot: quiet and shaded. The accommodations were clean, stylish, and serene, and had everything we needed. Made for a stay full of smiles and relaxation. I would come here again and again. Sad we had to leave.

Home Away From Home

Lake Norman Retreat

The rental was beautiful and just as pictured. The lake was inviting and we enjoyed swimming and watching the boating activity. The area was quiet and relaxing. We would go back in a heartbeat! We stayed in the rental under the owners and it was quiet, nicely furnished and very comfortable with beautiful views!

Amazing Property!

Our stay here was fantastic! The rental was extremely clean and well appointed. We had everything we needed our entire stay. The beach and dock area are great! Our two boys enjoyed many hours there fishing, swimming and paddle boarding. Sandra and Rex were great hosts, and checked on us to make sure everything was as expected. I would highly recommend this rental and look forward to returning in the future.

Beautiful and Relaxing

We absolutely loved staying here in the lower level! It was spotlessly clean and very private. Our seven year old twins loved kayaking and swimming. The lake view was beautiful. It was also very close to the boat launch and marina. We enjoyed meeting Rex and hope to return again.

Excellent Experience

My family and I had an great stay. Everything was as advertised. The private beach and beachfront area was spectacular. We had so much fun with the kayaks and paddle board. The apartment is warm and invited and decorated like a lived in space and not like a hotel. This property is in a very quiet area away from anything touristy. We would stay again!

Lovely getaway

My family of four stayed in the two bedroom apartment. The place was immaculate and very warm and welcoming. We launched our pontoon nearby and enjoyed the lake all weekend. Sandra and Rex were very accommodating with our every question. Highly recommend.

Fun Family Getaway

We had an amazing stay! Our hosts were the definition of Hospitable. The apartment was so clean and had everything we could possibly need. And the Beach and Boat Dock made for hours of water fun. Swimming, kayaking, Paddle boarding and some great fishing. We enjoyed our time by the fire pit making s'mores and talking. This was the getaway we needed and the accomodations met all our needs and then some. Great affordable getaway.

Girls Weekend

. We enjoyed the used of their kayaks and paddle board, and the garage apartment was perfect. It was clean, the beds were incredibly comfortable, and the bathroom was huge! The grocery store is close by, we did some shopping in the towns nearby and had a wonderful time!

This is a beautiful place to stay. Very clean & updated. The bed was super comfortable. Sandra & Rex are wonderful host. This was our anniversary week. There were flowers & a note saying Happy Anniversary when we arrived. We had boat dock & beach area to ourselves. Truly the most peaceful, relaxing vacation we've ever had. Highly recommend! We will stay there again for sure.

Rex has lived here for 35 plus years. We've been married for 25 years and have enjoyed living here at Private Point all these years. We have made many renovations over the years which I'm sure you will enjoy! Rex grew up in Yadkinville, NC and Sandra grew up in Hiddenite, NC. We enjoy meeting new people plus we love to travel ourselves!

It is beautiful, peaceful and secluded here. We have our own private beach which is definitely a plus if you have children. Lots of guests also enjoy our fire pit area at night. It's the perfect place to make s'mores and reminisce about the fun times. Most guests are not ready to leave when it's time to pack up and go. However; the majority of our guests are repeat customers. We built the garage apartment in 2012.

Absolutely gorgeous lake views, summer breezes and seclusion make this the perfect retreat. Our neighborhood is great for walking or riding bikes. Our house is situated at the end of a dead end street making it a quiet place to relax.
