The property was everything we expected …the parking garage was very small and was the only place to park…so rent a small vehicle…the only issue we had was communication with VRBO…they never got back to us at all about our inquiries . The actual host of the cottage was great. We loved our stay and would highly recommend.

Beautiful area to walk! Close to the little town of Sidney. Some ocean views from the property. Excellent place to stay for 1-2 couples, so cute and well stocked of utensils etc.

Conveniently located to downtown Sidney Beautiful gardens out back. Lots of room and comfortable for two couples. Kitchen fully stocked making it easy to prepare good meals. Great location to cycling routes and ferry to salt spring island — south end of island. Quiet and peaceful surroundings. Very clean upon arrival and check in was easy. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us.

Bike tour of gulf islands

The house felt like home. The host, Rick, called ahead of time to make arrangements to meet us to make sure we had all the details we needed. The rental owner, Jim, came and introduced himself which was such a personal touch. The home had a great variety of games and books for all ages. The view was awesome and Sidney is a place that continues to draw us back.

Great place

Quiet and cozy. We’ll stocked. Great location off the ocean and less than 5 minutes to Sidney’s core. Would definitely recommend.

Lovely cottage, great location

This is a beautiful cottage with lots of charm. Great location. Sidney is quaint town with lots of things to do. Very walkable town. The check in was easy, the owner was lovely to visit with. Beautiful garden and outdoor seating areas. Very clean and comfortable.

A lovely get away!

We love staying at Heron View Cottage. I travel with my elderly mother and everything is easily accessible for her. It is clean and the location makes you feel like you're truly on vacation. It is convenient for the Butchart Gardens and downtown Victoria is also easy to get to. Jim is a lovely host.

Wonderful retreat!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Terrific place to stay and enjoy Sidney and surrounding area.

Heron cottage by the sea

We would highly recommend this property. Beautiful setting, extremely clean and comfortable, with the perfect host!! The coffee pot broke and was replaced within hours. Will definitely choose to stay here again when we come back to Sidney!

Beautiful

The home and surrounding areas were just perfect, quiet and very convenient. We are a senior couple, travelling with my sister. It was lovely having two separate bedrooms with their own bathroom, and lots of seating options.

January 2021 Stay

We came for a four night stay, and loved the home! It’s inviting, comfortable, has all the amenities we needed, plus lots of puzzles, books, games and cable TV for the rainy days. Extremely clean, beautifully updated and the view of the ocean is nice.

“Wow”

Better than we expected. The place was beautiful . It was hard to leave, we will be back!!! Had a visit with the owner and a very nice gentleman. Great time, great place!!
