Enjoy the tranquility of this cottage, a beautifully maintained 1920s cottage nestled into the Blue Ridge Mountains of Transylvania County and just minutes from Brevard, NC.

Just half an hour from Ashville, 2 hours from Charlotte, 2.5 hours from Columbia, SC and 4 hours from Charleston, SC; it’s a perfect weekend escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. Come relax and rejuvenate in the clean air of the mountains and enjoy all that this home has to offer.

The cottage is a charmingly restored cottage with two bedrooms with two queen beds which share a full bath with tub and shower. Beautiful original hardwood floors are found throughout and a large eat in kitchen with seating for 6. A fully equipped kitchen with stove and dishwasher will also greet you. This retreat is perfect for two couples or a family looking to enjoy all that Brevard and its surrounding areas has to offer.

Take your pick on where to kick your feet up. Enjoy the wood burning fireplace in the living room with a glass of wine or relax on the porch swing with your coffee on the expansive front porch. Behind the cottage you’ll find a great deck for outdoor entertaining and dining and great patio space with a campfire pit, perfect for s’mores. A great screened in porch is ideal to store mountain bikes, fishing gear and any of your other outdoor equipment.

Cozy and sweet mountain cottage!

Cozy, sweet, quiet, perfect

We loved staying in the house. I read on the porch porch each morning, and my husband & son really enjoyed playing guitar. The host was very accommodating when we decided to come in one day earlier than expected. The house was just perfect for our family.

Great Stay

We had a wonderful time. Property was clean and had everything we needed. Located in a quiet little area, but close to town. This was our second stay at this house and would definitely stay again.

Wonderful Vacay in Brevard

We love the big front porch and the quiet woodland setting of this cozy cottage. It’s a quiet neighborhood with lots of trees so we enjoyed hearing the birds both in the morning and at dusk. The beds are super comfortable and the Brevard and the Pisgah are just a few minutes away.

Quiet Getaway

Brennan's cabin is cozy and quiet. Close to downtown but nestled in a quiet hillside neighborhood. We enjoyed restaurants and strolling downtown, as well as hiking and exploring in Dupont Forest

Great little spot in the forest

Great experience. Hip little cottage close to everything.

Our family had a great stay at this cottage. We were even greeted by a white squirrel upon arrival. The cottage is rustic, but well-maintained and clean. It has just enough creature comforts so you don’t ever feel like your roughing it.

Our favorite place to stay

My husband and I have stayed here twice for our wedding anniversaries and we love it! We want to come back every year. The cabin is very easy to get to and close to downtown. It has everything you’d need and it is very clean. We love sitting on the front porch in the morning!

Private. Charm. Location. Thought of everything.

Great place real close to downtown Brevard. So many positives about this place. One above and beyond was cabin details say “basic cable tv” The TV had more channels than I have ever seen but still watched provided Netflix. Everything is included in the cabin. Love the decor as well.

quaint place for relaxation

The cabin was comfortable and was stocked with more than what we needed to enjoy our getaway. One day we just chased down white squirrels in the yard and stayed at the cabin all day. Did not feel like a rental ; it felt like a friend had lent us his house for the weekend.

Cute cottage near town

Most everything was as described bit agree with another guest's review, shades or drapes are needed at night for privacy. Good clean, well equipped and comfortable cottage and host was great. Maybe us, but the lights seemed dim. Enjoyed the area!

Perfect getaway

Loved everything about this cottage. It’s been thoughtfully restored to keep the 1920s charm, with some unobtrusive updates, like central air/heat and good WiFi. Pisgah, DuPont and Mtn Bridge are all within a half hour drive so it’s a perfect base for hiking/biking. It’s no-frills, but had everything I needed to decompress for a couple of days. FWIW, I felt very safe here and would recommend to other women who travel solo. Looking forward to staying again in the winter and enjoying the stone fireplace!

Perfect vacation!

I came to Brevard to celebrate my birthday hiking in the woods and swimming at waterfalls. Brennan's cottage was the perfect homebase conveniently located within a decent drive of Pisgah National Forest, DuPont State Recreational Forest, and Gorges State Park as well as right near charming downtown Brevard with all its great shops, restaurants, and bars. The cottage is amazing and I loved the decor. Coffee on that front porch early in the morning is something special. Despite being close to neighbors, it was very quiet and peaceful. My wife and I are planning to return to the area as this was one of our favorite vacations and I hope to book this place again when we return. My wife's one critique is that she wish there was some sort of glaze or something to the shower window.

Quiet and comfortable.

This is a perfect cottage for someone who wants to be close to Brevard and Pisgah National Forest for hiking. It is very quiet and a peaceful setting. The bedrooms are large and the beds are very comfortable. It is a lovely place to read and relax after a day in the woods. It was perfect place for me to unwind from my other life where it is hectic and my mind is occupied. Thank you for letting me stay in your cozy home. I will return.

Great get-a-way cabin!

My wife and I stayed at Brennan's cabin during the last week of October and found it to be perfect for everything we wanted to do and everywhere we wanted to go. The location is very convenient to downtown Brevard, the Pisgah, and the Parkway. It's far enough off 64 that you don't hear any traffic but close enough that you're not driving on miles of twisting roads to get there. The kitchen was well stocked for the two of us (though minus a microwave). We really appreciated the wood pile and enjoyed the fireplace on the cooler nights. We love Brevard and will book this cabin again for our return trip next summer.

Great cabin with great porch, view, amenities.

Brennan was very prompt in sharing messages in answer to questions. The property was located in a wooded area. There were many extras: laundry facilities, dishwasher, microwave, fireplace, fire pit, etc. We loved having 2 bedrooms and were able to visit Looking Glass Falls, the falls north of Brevard Sp? Connastee Falls, High Falls and others in DuPont National Forest. Enjoyed the location very much after spending time in Asheville.

I love the front porch swing and back deck, the original hardwood floors and fireplace are also just as wonderful (built in 1928). Simple and understated. Gas grill is great for BBQs in the spring and summer. Amazing locale - steps away from any outdoor adventure you wish to partake in.
