This is a very nice location and place to stay. It is clean, well furnished and comfortable. Is stay here again. I appreciate our hostess she is kind and helpful. There's even a bit of a view of the water from the deck

Awesome place! All the comforts of home. The only reason for not having 5 stars was the noise level from floor above. It sounded like a child romping which was quite late at night.

We had a great stay when we came to visit our daughter in Washington. It had everything we needed, including a washer and dryer to do laundry. Thanks for helping us have a great trip!

We enjoyed our two days in Gig Harbor. My pet traveled with me and the accommodations were perfect and the hosts pets were adorable.. The space was as presented in the pictures and the private entrance was greatly appreciated since we got in a little bit later our first night than we anticipated. This is a basement apartment so there is some noise from above. They do however, furnish earplugs should you need them.

Fit our needs perfectly. The host does note that it’s a basement apartment, so we were prepared for that. A little bit of noise from upstairs, but overall a great experience! Would book again if we need a place to stay in Gig Harbor.Excellent location!

The details of the listing are accurate as for as they go but you may want to consider some things that were not mentioned.• There are no shelves or drawers for clothes storage in the bedrooms. The closets only have luggage racks, no hangers. The bedrooms are only big enough to fit the bed and a nightstand (the second bedroom does have a small desk though). • The bedding is nothing special. I slept well, but my wife ended up with sore back for the first time in her life. • The bathroom has very little counter space and no cupboard space, so you'llfind it hard to fit in a lot of beauty products.• The host has provided earplugs, a sure clue that you might hear some overhead noise. We heard a baby and pets mornings and evenings, with some running around by the latter. The noise wasn't constant and we did not find it too objectionable, but you may be more sensitive.• The kitchen is fairly well stocked, but there is not much counter space. That just means that you'll be pulling appliances out of the cupboards when you need to use them.ON THE PLUS SIDE the location is excellent. The street is very quiet, and the house is less than a mile away from groceries like the fancy Metropolitan Market and other essential shopping and restaurant sites. We never had to drive more than ten minutes to get to anywhere we wanted to go in Gig Harbor. We enjoyed our stay very much despite the slight inconveniences.

Hi Sheldon, thank you for your thorough and honest review. I’m glad to hear you enjoyed your stay, despite some grievances about the space. I would like to mention that there are hangars in the closets actually, although I agree that there’s not much counter space in the bathroom. However, there is plenty of space to store things in the bathroom, including a vanity, cabinet on the wall over the toilet, and large closet with many shelves. I’ve done my best to depict exactly what you’re getting out of the space in the listing photos. I have never claimed to supply any kind of luxury bedding items. I just wanted to clarify those couple of points. Thank you! Bethany

Because I booked through Expedia and not directly through VRBO, the owner and I were struggling to connect. She was updating VRBO, but I couldn’t see it there. I had finally called VRBO to get her information to try to contact her when I hadn’t heard anything. It was difficult to start our communication, and there was no secure communication location for us.

Very nice place to stay. Description and pictures are accurate and quite neighborhood. Close to stores and other attractions. Very comfortable place to stay and well stocked kitchen to cook in.Only downside was the first night there. Hearing a man’s voice and laughter coming from the second floor. Otherwise, any noise coming from the second floor was minimal.
