Welcome to Fairwood Cottage, a peaceful one bedroom retreat on a quiet ten acre property just minutes from downtown Charlottesville. This inviting space blends cozy charm with modern comfort and is surrounded by the beauty of central Virginia countryside.
The cottage includes a king bed, roomy living room, and full kitchen and dining table. Guests can also enjoy the private patio and charcoal grill plus a beautiful outdoor gas firepit with seating for four. Guests rave about spotless interiors, comfortable furnishings, and thoughtful amenities. This cottage is well suited for couples, wine lovers, families visiting UVA, and travelers attending weddings or special events. Fairwood Cottage is one of several cottages on the ten acre property, including Clear Sky Cottage, which offers similar charm and privacy. Each space is private, making it ideal for a quiet getaway or for groups renting both cottages together for up to four people.
The property is about 15 minutes from the University of Virginia, 10 minutes from Thomas Jefferson's Monticello, and 30 minutes to Shenandoah National Park's southern entrance. Dozens of vineyards and cideries can be found within a 15 mile radius, along with scenic trails, historic sites, and local dining. Guests love that it feels tucked away while still being close to everything.
Mornings at the cottage are quiet and peaceful, perfect for enjoying coffee on the porch before heading out to explore. Evenings often end with a glass of local wine as the sun sets over the property. The cozy interior, thoughtful details, and calm atmosphere make it easy to unwind and slow down. Out back, guests can gather around the firepit to relax under the stars and enjoy quiet evenings in the country.
