Island Winds West #475 is an interior gulf-front 1 bedroom 1 bath condominium located on the 4th floor overlooking the Gulf of Mexico. The unit is approximately 600 sq ft with views of the gulf from the living area. The condo has a fully equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances set in granite counter tops . The bathroom has a tub/shower combo and granite vanity. The master bedroom has a queen bed and living room has sofa sleeper. Sleeps 4.

*New king mattress and new bed purchased August 2023.

Island Winds East and West are 9 story buildings located 0.1 miles West of Highway 59 in Gulf Shores. Island Winds has an outdoor pool, kiddie pool, exercise room and BBQ/Picnic grilling area.

Guests will receive a link from VRP Access to register vehicle and obtain parking registration. 1 car limit. The cost is set by the association and is subject to change at any time without notice.

STAY AND PLAY

This rental comes with our 'Stay and Play Package', which includes complimentary tickets to the best area activities including; golfing, deep sea fishing, dolphin/nature cruise, amusement park, zoo and movie rentals. Each rental comes with our "Stay and Play package." Some restrictions apply.

*The 'Stay and Play Package' begins on the scheduled date of arrival and is not available on day of departure. Services are non-cumulative and non-transferable. All services are subject to change, subject to availability, and weather permissible. The 'Stay and Play Package' does not apply to monthly rentals.

Great place for a quick trip

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Girls weekend, great place to stay. King bed was very comfortable and the condo was clean. The TV remote was missing the cover and had the batteries taped in. The living room TV was not a smart TV so no binging Netflix on the couch but the TV is the bedroom was. Not alot of extra spaces BUT perfect for a girls trip or a couple getaway. Great beach access. The parking voucher is an additional charge and it was $50 (which was a little pricey in my opinion).

Wonderful place

We had a great family vacation here. The property was close enough for us to walk several places for food and fun! The condo was super clean and had everything we needed. We will be back next year!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Wonderful location, very clean, AC was working perfectly. However there was not much storage- the bed takes up 90% of the bedroom so accessing the dresser was difficult. There is only one mirror and it’s not full length. Not a big deal just an fyi. Also, even if you pay for parking online you still need to go to the office to get a ticket for your windshield. It was just my husband and I so it was a good size for us, but I couldn’t imagine sharing the space with more than 2 adults and maybe a child.

Clean and basic room with a beautiful beach view!

Over all we had a great time. There were a few things we weren’t happy with. The room smelled of smoke when we arrived. Needs a new security lock that isn’t broken. Dated throughout but definitely needs a new refrigerator. The freezer never froze our ice cream after 5 days. Couch wasn’t comfortable. For the price the place needs an upgrade.

Nice clean, well located, very small.

Great location, spotless condo. Bedroom very small, but otherwise a great place to stay. Should be more upfront about the $50.00 parking charge. Was a bit blindsided by that. Lady at check in was very rude.

Disappointed

The location was good but the bed was very hard and had to squeeze around it. There was no bathroom in the lobby or by the pool which means you have to go to your room just to use the bathroom. On top of all that the elevators were not working properly and I as well as 4 other ppl on different occasions got stuck for about 10 minutes. My husband is disabled so thank God he didn’t get stuck but out of two elevators there was never a time while we were there that they both worked at the same time. We also had to pay for parking and was told of the lot was full we would have to pay another fee to park across the street. So we were not happy.

Great stay

We really enjoyed our stay. Everything was clean and neat. This was our first stay in Gulf Shores. We really loved the proximity to restaurants, shopping and The Hangout. We would definitely stay here again.

Very Disappointed

This property is very over priced.The lock on the front door did not work properly and there was no deadbolt. It is a very unsecured entrance. The coffee maker was badly chipped on the heat plate and did not work. Although the view is beautiful of the ocean ,underneath is the very busy boardwalk to the beach and also directly underneath to the right is the swimming pool. Loud music and screaming kids. Underneath is the service entrance with busy truck loading and unloading noise. The people above me smoked off of the balcony and I could not enjoy sitting on it. The building is over all very dirty. When taking the elevator, it was stuck, would not move, after the door closed. Trying not to panic, after several attempts to get off when pressing the open door button, it did. I reported it and noticed that there was no signage under repair to investigate what happened that day or after. Truly, it doesn’t even deserve one star.

Great Stay at Islad Winds West, Gulf Shores, AL

We were very pleased with our stay. The property was just as pictured. It was very clean and had ample bath towels and kitchen towels for our week long stay. The washer and dryer were a big help, too. The view was great! Easy access to the beach. All in all a great place to stay!
