We had a wonderful stay! Charlie and Barbara are awesome hosts and communication could not have been better. You can’t beat the sweeping views and sunsets!!

This property was one of the most well kept and well provisioned properties that I’ve stayed at. The hosts are great at communicating.

What a fantastic spot and view! Such a wonderful spot to begin and end our days! We had plenty of room for a large multi-generational family and enjoyed exploring the area with this as our base. The kitchen had everything we needed! Kids loved the pool. Sunsets were outstanding! And loved visiting nearby spots in and around Captain Cook and Kona as well as Volcanoes National Park!

This was a great place to stay. We were looking to avoid the touristy and resort areas, and this was perfect. We were able to explore the Big Island from here.Kids loved Earl Grey and Rama, the cat and dog. And of course, they loved the pool and hot tub. The view was amazing.

Very nice host and hostess. Very willing to help with any need we had. Beautiful home with a beautiful overlook. Having no AC was really not a problem, but The house could use a few ceiling fans, especially in the bedrooms. We did enjoy using the swimming pool but A little more attention to the swimming pool and hot tub would have been appreciated. The hot tub had a heavy cover and was considered unusable by us.

The bathroom pictured as part the master bedroom is completely open and there is no way to close the windows or avoid the noise from the ping pong table that is set up next to it. Apparently pool toys are available outside of the main bedroom with the good view. The children kept smashing objects into our bedroom windows. The children of the couple renting next to us stayed on their balcony and let their kids run wild. The noise was excruciating. If you enjoy chatter of children at various decibel’s then book this place. Just be aware that privacy is lacking and the noise carries. The children screamed constantly when jumping into the cold pool and then ran around the property with their parents monitoring from the upper balcony. I would have never booked this place if I knew that I would be subjected to such inconsiderate behavior. We spent very little time there and can only comment on the house. The house was pretty and extremely loud. Quiet time is from 10pm-6am! It gave the nasty family next to us ample time to make our time unbearable noise wise. Beyond rude and completely unacceptable! Never have I dealt with this kind of noise. Not as advertised
