Very pretty window view and very clean house, it was very family friendly with many things to do just at the house. Our hosts were very friendly as well!

There was so much room for all 7 of us. The property is beautiful. So many birds to watch. So many flowers and plants to experience.

Excellent location! Quiet neighborhood, easy walk to beach and snorkeling. House is clean and comfortable and a perfect get away from busier areas of town. Would definitely stay here again.

We loved the location and the host was very nice and communicated with us due to the bad weather during our entire stay here which was obviously out of her control.

Great Place to Be

Great location and house to stay in! Had everything we needed and was clean! Susan was a great host as well making sure we knew all about the volcano eruption making sure we didn’t miss it!

Wonderful spot in an amazing neighborhood

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Captain Cook. The house is comfortable and clean, with great toys for kids! The beach park access walking distance from the house was really nice.

The proximity to Manini Beach is magical. Susan went above and beyond to make our stay special, including putting out toys for our kids to play with on arrival. The kids adored the shark and volcano rooms. We loved it. Thank you.

A little piece of paradise

We stayed at Hale - Hanai with my husband, children, parents, mother in law and daughter's boyfriend. The house was spacious and clean. It was very convenient to have access to a washer and dryer.

Hope to return!

The house is a 2min walk from the bay, manini beach, and the kayak launch. Perfect place to be!! The home is beautiful and accomodating for family groups. Highly recommend!

Great location and perfect for families

Our family’s stay at Hale Hanai consisted of three generations - grandparents, adult children, and two grandchildren. There was plenty of room for everyone in the two-level home set in a tropical setting very close to Kealakekula Bay. Everyone enjoyed the stay there. Our host, Susan, was very accommodating and easy to communicate with.

Hawaii

We had a great time staying here. The house was very nice and clean. It is well stocked with everything you need. Susan was a great host-greeted us with a basket full of yummy treats as well as a basket with toiletries in case we had forgotten anything. We would definitely stay here again.

Zen

We were a group staying together and attending a Zen retreat in Captain Cook. The location was perfect, a short drive to our retreat and a very short walk to the ocean. Susan was wonderful and very responsive to our needs. We had a beautiful time here. Mahalo

Beautiful spot minutes from the beach

Susan was an incredible and hospitable! Her home was lovely and well cared for and we very much enjoyed our stay. It was a great spot for my 4 year old daughter as well she enjoyed the toys Susan had pulled out and books as well! We really appreciate being able to stay here and my mom is already looking to go back to the Big Island again and stay!

Susan, the property host, was always so friendly and quick to respond. The home was spacious for our group and we loved the location. We used Ehu and Kai to rent kayaks, which was a two minute drive or very walkable, to paddle to Captain Cook's Monument and snorkeled there. We also took advantage of Honaunau to visit the historical park and snorkel right near it. Incredible snorkeling with spinner dolphins around, sea turtle, eels and such. Really beautiful. The only ding to the home is a the lack of air conditioning. They do provide ceiling fans in the bedrooms and fans in sitting areas. We loved our time there and would stay again.

Very nice place to enjoy Big Island

We came as a group of 8 people and it was very enjoyable visit. The house is big and has enough space for everybody. Susan is an excellent host, takes good care of her guests and communication is very easy. I would recommend for anyone who wants to come as a group. Thank you Susan for making our visit so enjoyable!
