Blackberry house is centrally located in the heart of Kitsilano neighborhood, Vancouver. Beaches, parks, UBC, broadway shopping and downtown are all easily accessible by either a short walk or public transit.
Blackberry house is a 2 bedroom 800 sq. ft suite created by designer Douglas Nickel. It features a modern custom kitchen, spacious dining living area that is fully furnished with custom furniture. There are two bedrooms, one of which can also be a study. Five windows face west giving lots of natural light. Flatscreen TV, washer/dryer, dishwasher, microwave, and many small appliances as well as wireless internet are included so you can relax and make yourself at home.

Lovely property in an ideal location for our visit. Such a lovely safe area - we were able to walk everywhere. Public transport to downtown was only a 5 min walk away. Highly recommended this property.

The Optimal Home Away From Home

A comfortable lodging within the neighbourhood of small shops, our welcoming hosts provided a fully equipped place to stay. Our visit to the city became a bit less stressful given the thoughtfulness of our hosts in anticipating our needs. We have no reservations in highly recommending this location to potential visitors.

Great Stay in Kitsilano !

This is a great place to stay !The basement apartment is beautiful - lots of windows and sun and well designed/builtBedroom, kitchen, living room and bathroom were all really nice - and clean !No problems at all with parking on streetGreat location in Kitsilano - lots of good cafes, restaurants and shops within 10 min walkThanks Douglas - we will be sure to reserve next time we visit Vancouver !

This cute little suite was perfect for what we needed! The beds were comfy, the den area was great for relaxing after a day of activities, and the location made it easy to get around using only public transit. Doug was a fantastic, helpful host who greeted us on arrival. We had a great time and highly suggest staying at this property!

Medical stop over

While traveling home from Germany, my father had a medical emergency, resulting in a stay at Vancouver General. Doug and Delores were very helpful.Their place was convenient to the hospital and lots cheaper than staying in the overpriced hotels in the area.

Excellent comfortable apartment in a great area

We enjoyed our stay in this basement apartment in Kitsilano. It is a perfect location in a lovely neighborhood in walking distance of excellent restaurants. It is easy driving distance to many attractions that we wanted to see as first-time visitors to Vancouver. The apartment is spacious and the master bed mattress is probably the most comfortable I have ever encountered in a VRBO or hotel. If you are coming on business, there is a nice desk area in the living room where you could easily set up your computer and other materials. The weather was cool and we were able to keep the windows open and use the fans provided to keep the apartment at a comfortable temperature. All the appliances are in excellent condition and there is plenty of hot water for showers. The hosts were friendly and responsive and not at all intrusive. I highly recommend this VRBO for a vacation or business stay in the Vancouver area.

Lovely host, lovely place, lovely neighbourhood

Highly recommend as a central location near a cosmopolitan neighbourhood. Space will be a little tight if you sleep 4 adults in the apartment as we did, but the place held up well and had everything we needed. Doug and Delores are lovely!

A Most Enjoyable Stay

This flat was perfect! Clean, neat, comfortable with all the facilities one could hope for and close to Broadway with plenty of restaurants and cafes. Detergent was provided for both laundry and dishwasher, a fresh bar of soap along with clean towels of course. I would definitely return for my next visit to Vancouver! Thank you.

Spacious unit in gorgeous neighbourhood.

This is a really lovely space. Downstairs but doesn’t feel like a basement because there are loads of windows and light. Well stocked, and with tons of space for your things, and a regular-sized kitchen. Appreciated the art on all the walls! Great location for exploring the city. Hosts were very friendly and helpful. Thank you for a wonderful visit!

Cozy and well designed suite

We had an enjoyable stay at this comfortable suite in a beautiful and quiet neighbourhood. Delores and Doug are great host. They are friendly and quick to respond. The garden suite is bright and roomy with well equipped kitchen. This suite is highly recommended!

Just as advertised—great location near UBC, privacy, 2 BR, perfect for family of 4.

Don was always responsive and available. 2 BR, good kitchen, private entryway, free and convenient parking on street, washer and dryer. Perfect set-up for a family of 4. Super close to UBC. Husband appreciated good TV. WiFi too. Would totally recommend accommodations—exactly as described—basement of private home, but still light and windows open to enjoy that lovely Vancouver weather!

Family visit

My sister and I had a wonderful stay in the designer suite. The suite was very well equipped and very comfortable. Although situated in a quiet residential area of Vancouver it was only a short walk to public transport, good restaurants and shops. I would certainly recommend this property to anyone wanting to visit Vancouver The owner's were always on hand if you needed any help or information. Thank you Dolores and Douglas.

perfect place

We stayed for two months in this wonderful suite and couldn't be happier. The location was perfect for enjoying the best of vancouver. Stunning, quiet neighbourhood that was close to transit and the beach. The inside is bright and cheery with plenty of room and amenities. Loved it. Felt like home, in fact we didn't want to leave.

Perfect for us

Property was perfect for us, family of 4. It had everything we needed and was a great price and location. We drove everywhere, but you don't have to. There are beaches and restaurants close enough if you want to walk. Location felt very safe and was quiet. The owners were very helpful and were available when we needed them. Would definitely think about going here again when we go back to Vancouver (which I'm sure we will).
