One of the best things about staying here is the location—you can park your car and walk to wineries, live music, local shops, and the Katy Trail, making it easy to experience Augusta without worrying about driving.

Just a 7-minute walk to 2 wineries, Root Food + Wine is only two doors down, and the Katy Trail is just four blocks away, putting the best of Missouri wine country right outside your door.

Recently and thoughtfully renovated, the home blends timeless Craftsman character with modern comfort. Original pine hardwood floors, rich wood trim, soaring 10-foot ceilings, and carefully restored architectural details reflect the home's history, while updated amenities provide a comfortable, relaxing stay.

Whether you're planning a romantic getaway, a girls' wine weekend, a family vacation, or attending a local wedding, The Craftsman on Walnut offers the perfect home base. The home comfortably sleeps 6 guests, with accommodations for up to 8.

We enjoyed our stay. The beds are comfortable even the twin roller beds. The kitchen well stocked. We loved sitting on the porch for most of our meals.

We were in town for a wedding, and found this house to stay in. It was perfect!! The little town was adorable and fun to walk the dogs through. The hot tub was obviously a nice plus. The grill was nice and had plenty of propane. No complaints at all! We even added another night to our stay to enjoy it longer. The Miss Augusta riverboat cruise was fun! The wineries were obviously fun also. We really enjoyed picking apples at the orchard too. We really wanted to try the restaurant right down the street, but it just never worked out with our schedule and their hours. Heard great things about it though!!

Large living room and kitchen. The outdoor areas were great too. Lovely front porch and we enjoyed the hot tub too. Close to lots of wineries. We visited five during our short stay.

Augusta gem - steps from Root, wineries, and a fantastic hot tub!This adorable property is perfectly situated in Augusta, literally just steps from Root Restaurant (the whole reason for my trip!) and a short walk to August and Mount Pleasant wineries. The location couldn’t be better for a wine country getaway.The space itself was spotlessly clean, cozy, and thoughtfully stocked. The coffee bar genuinely impressed me, it was far beyond anything I’ve come across in other vacation rentals. And after a full day of wine tasting and great food, the hot tub was the perfect way to wind down.I highly recommend this place, you won’t regret it!

Hi there! Lucas and I are the owners of this home and have put a lot of care into renovating it while keeping its original Craftsman character intact. We’ve always appreciated homes with history, and this one has been a rewarding project to bring back to life in a way that still feels comfortable and functional for today.

Augusta is a special place, and one of the things we enjoy most is how easy it is to slow down here, whether that’s spending time at the local wineries, walking around town, or just relaxing at the house. Our goal is for guests to feel that same experience during their stay.

We try to make everything as straightforward and comfortable as possible, from clear communication to a well-prepared space. Whether you’re here for a weekend getaway or a longer stay, we hope you feel at home.

We chose Augusta because it has a character that’s hard to find elsewhere. It’s one of those places where everything slows down in the best way, with a small-town feel but still plenty to do. The wineries, local shops, and restaurants are all close by, and being able to walk to several of them makes the experience even better.

What we enjoy most is how easy it is to spend a full weekend here without needing to go far. Whether it’s visiting wineries, taking a walk through town, or just relaxing back at the house, Augusta has a laid-back atmosphere that makes it a great getaway.
