A brand-new outdoor living space and zero neighbors make it feel like the island is yours.

The Outdoor Space: (New Spring 2026) The heart of this property is outside. A large wood deck, paver patio,
cedar pergola with outdoor dining, gas grill, and solar lighting scattered throughout. The western exposure delivers Maine's famous cotton candy sunsets from your backyard. After a day on Acadia's trails, come back and grill dinner under the pergola — it's that kind of place.

The House: A comfortable two-story home sleeping up to 8, plus a full pull-out sleeper in the family room to accommodate 2 extra guest up to 10 total (fee applies). Downstairs: queen bedroom, tiled shower with double vanity, open kitchen and dining room (seats 6, expands to 8). Upstairs: two bedrooms (queen + twin/double/twin trundle combo) and a second bathroom with a tub.
Room-darkening curtains and window AC in every bedroom.

For Families: Stroller, Pack & Play, high chair, Magna tiles, board games, and children's books are all here. Our grandkids built a "ground house" out back — yours will find it. With 8 private acres, children have room to actually roam.

The Location Southwest Harbor is the quiet side of Mount Desert Island — less crowded, more authentic, and with its own spectacular Acadia access. Ship Harbor and Wonderland Trails are 6 minutes away. Bass Harbor Head Lighthouse is minutes from the door. The village of Southwest Harbor — great restaurants, working waterfront — is 1.5 miles. The main park (Jordan Pond, Cadillac Mountain) is a 30 minute drive.

In October, fall foliage and uncrowded trails make this one of the best times to visit.
