***The balconies on the ocean side of the Windjammer are in the process of receiving repair upgrades. Our condo is currently in the schedule to have a CLOSED balcony from July 1 through the end of August 2026. The inside of the oceanfront condo and all the building and ocean amenities will remain OPEN. If you like oceanfront with an elevator and can deal with a slightly obscured view and occasional repair noises, at a slightly reduced seasonal rate, this is the condo for you. We originally blocked these dates but are now opening them up on a FIRST COME, FIRST SAVED basis. 2 Bedroom, 2 Bath 1st Floor Windjammer Condo with easy access to the building elevator. Ocean Isle Beach is the perfect place for a family vacation, a reunion, or a wedding. There are no bright lights. Nearby activities include beaches, golf, dining, fishing, shopping, boating, charter fishing, turtle and dolphin watching and day trips either north to Wilmington or south to Myrtle Beach. A visit to Calabash is a must for local eating venues and special shopping. Ocean Isle beach is one of the best kept secrets in the Carolinas.

My daughters & I liked the property and will consider staying there again. For this visit, we were highly disappointed. Although the owner made us aware, the construction taking place during our stay was very bothersome. It was one thing to not have a balcony available but a completely different level of inconvenience due to men constantly outside of the huge open window during the daylight hours. There was only a thin sheer curtain so we ended up putting sheets up to feel comfortable. We found ourselves not enjoying being indoors at all because we felt like we were locked in because of the inability to look outside.

We changed to the light emitting curtains two years ago to allow more light in the condo and allow a better continuous ocean view. Based on your feedback we will probably go back to curtains offering better privacy, even after the scaffolding is removed.

Stay was great. Everything was really clean, wonderful location, easy beach acess, there was little buggys to help get your stuff to your unit. There was even some upsetting construction that was started earlier than expected, and ended up being durring my stay. The owner was right there talking with me and making sure i was comfortable. Will stay here again.

Condo was filthy, our children’s feet were black within 5 minutes of walking in. Host was immediately contacted and I was only told-“guests always complement us on how clean condo is.” He didn’t offer anything except if we went out and bought a swifter, he would reimburse us. The sheets had animal hair on them and were not clean, the bathroom floors had hair on them as well. I had to email the host again for location of iron-which was not in unit as advertised. Her never responded. I see he is selling his unit and be sure to have proper inspection as the kitchen floor is floating

Thank you for taking your valuable time to review our condo. We wish your description of the condition was one that meets our standards. Our cleaner does have a very good reputation. Their process includes an inspection after cleaning by a supervisor and includes video taping of the final condition. I did offer to pay for a swifter as was suggested by you, but never heard from you if it was found necessary. We strictly say no pets in our condo. I cannot address how the hairs may have gotten on the sheets and floors. We do supply an iron and ironing board for our guests and they should have been in the second bedroom closet. I make every effort to try to address a guest's issue as soon as I know. I apologize for not answering re an iron as I never received your email. The flooring in this condo is luxury vinyl plank (LVP). It was installed professionally over top of the original ceramic tile, not glued, resulting in a "floating floor".

Our daughter is in a wheelchair and it is difficult to find places at the beach that can accommodate us, but this place was perfect. The pool is ramped, it is ramped to the beach (steps down to the beach, but a ramp down to the beach is impossible to find), and an elevator! The view from the deck is amazing, and it feels like you are on the beach even when you are in the condo. Everything was well taken care of. And very clean. The only thing I didn’t prepare for well enough was the linens. I booked this trip last minute so didn’t read closely about renting linens, I will do that next time. We had an amazing stay!!

The condo had great beach access. It was updated and had everything needed for your stay. The view from the balcony was great! The condo does have some updates happening to the exterior and there are several units towards the end without a balcony. It did not impact this unit as of yet. Good to know they’re making updates to the building.

Sandy and Tom have lived in NC since 1996, moving down from Syracuse, NY. We have also lived in Harrisburg, PA, Va Beach, Atlanta, Roanoke, VA, and Bel Air, MD. We have been married 49 years, have five grown children and ten grand children. We purchased this property on Feb 20, 2014 and are planning to both rent and use the property.

We have been coming to Ocean Isle Beach since 1986. We have stayed on and off at the Windjammer since 1999. We have been to many east coast beaches and zeroed in on Ocean Isle for several reasons. We find the water and waves more gentle and less abrasive; one can walk out almost 100 yards without being in water over the head; the east - west beach allows viewing of the sunrise and sunset from the same beach; almost zero incidences of jelly fish; the water temperature is moderate for an extended season of time; the Windjammer is a sturdy steel in concrete building with available covered parking, an extra large pool, and an elevator; the beach is rarely over crowed and tends to be family oriented.
