2nd year in a row staying here, this time my wife and I were joined by our 3-month old baby. Janis’s place is well equipped both indoor, outdoor, and with beach supplies. Perfect sized space for a getaway weekend. Easily walkable to the shops and restaurants that Duck has to offer.

This was our 2nd year in a row staying here and loved it again! Easily walkable to the shops and restaurants that Duck has to offer. Well equipped indoor and outdoor space. This year our 3-month old baby joined my wife and I and things worked out great. Janis is a great host and highly recommend this place!

Everything was perfection! We walked to Duck, the beach and the sound each day. Then relaxed in our couples retreat taking advantage of the hot tub. This is our 2nd stay at the Couples Retreat. We will come again!

The Couple Retreat was perfect! Everything as advertised and the Host was excellent at responding and very helpful. This was our first trip to OBX and there's some much to experience and do. We will be returning to stay again at The Couples Retreat. I want to thank the host and looking forward to next time.

Nice little unit, perfect for a couple. The unit is on the lower floor of a large home, and there was nobody staying in the bigger home so felt very private. Very short drive to the beach access or could be walked in about 15-20 min. Quick drive to all the shops, bars, and restaurants in Duck!

Couples Retreat is a wonderful apartment. It is extremely clean, comfortable, and nicely equipped. Off-street parking is nice. We also enjoyed having cocktails in the backyard gazebo before heading out for dinner. The location is extremely convenient to the shops in Duck, NC. I would definitely go back.

Great experience! The retreat was very clean and easy to access. Only thing to be mindful of is that there isn’t an oven, however, the place is pack with tons of amenities to make up for it.

Wonderful Anniversary Trip

This property is an amazing spot for the perfect getaway with your person! The place was extremely clean and well-kept and Janis was very responsive! It’s the perfect distance from the beach and sound and everything Duck has to offer- we will definitely be coming back!

It was the most peaceful and private getaway. Janis was quick to respond to emails. The check in and out was easy and stress free. It was so clean and had what we needed. The hot tub was amazing and the neighborhood was very quiet. We will be coming back again for sure!

The Apartment is beautiful. It is on the side of the Owners house. The pictures shown are accurate. However, I found the location information a little misleading. The beach is across the main street and about another 1/4-1/2 mile. If you are carrying stuff (chairs, umbrella, cooler), you have to drive to the beach. The restaurants, shops, etc. are a mile away. There is a sidewalk that you can walk on into Town and it was not too bad. The pool shown in the photo is NOT the pool that was available It was old and the odor when you came in was horrible. Lounge chairs were not easy to come by. We only stayed for a few minutes then left.

Perfect Couple’s Stay!

We loved staying at this Couple’s Retreat. Everything was clean and made this trip a breeze. Having the beach and sound right at your fingertips, as well as a hot tub and pool really set this location apart. We will definitely be back!

Thoughtful serenity

The owners thoughtfully equipped this property with everything guests could need for a serene stay. It was the cleanest property I have ever stayed in!

Great couples vacation in Duck!

The place was perfect for a couple looking for a getaway. The apartment was well equipped and great outdoor space for relaxing. The pool and tennis court access was great. The beach is just across the street. The town is a 20min walk and a great way to start your day to get a morning coffee. Highly recommend this place!

Highly recommend

Perfect for a weekend getaway. Very clean, nice amenities, and short walk to the beach. A bit too far to walk to town but a very short drive. I recommend for couples looking for a relaxing trip to obx, you will not be disappointed!

Couples Retreat

My husband and I had a wonderful experience for our 45 th wedding anniversary. The place was emasculate and so well equipped. We really enjoyed the beach equipment- chairs, umbrella, beach bag, towels and boogie board. Everything you need for a perfect beach day. The bikes were great and the rental is so close to Duck. Also the sound access was great to view sunsets. We loved the private outdoor space with hotub, which was beautiful and clean, covered area, counter, beautiful furniture, grill. We couldn’t of asked for anything more.

Couples retreat

Place was very clean and close to everything you need! Very private and the hot tub was great way to end the nights. The pool was also a great addition. Would highly recommend!
