On a cul-de-sac in a good, safe, flat neighborhood in the geographic center of The City
Guests have said: "great value"; "cozy"; "We appreciated Howard's map and list of suggested places to eat"; "comfy beds and very quiet which made for great sleeping."

The bedroom has a queen bed. The (larger) sitting room has a single bed, which looks sort of like a sofa, as well as a real sofa. Both rooms look out at the garden. Powder-room-size bathroom with walk-in shower. WiFi. Cable TV with Netflix et al. Wood floors.
Excellent bus connections: Downtown/Beach; Marina/MIssion. Easy walk to Golden Gate Park, Laurel Village, Clement St., and to two foodie destinations: Arsicault (best croissants in the country); Arguello Market (best sandwich—turkey—in The City). Also nearby: a classic diner, many coffee shops and restaurants, post office, pharmacy, banks, FedEx, and gas station.
Please note: no stove—alcove has microwave and mini-fridge and electric kettle, Braun coffee maker, and toaster, and glasses, dishes, and utensils. BBQ in backyard.

Howard’s place was just as advertised. The location is wonderful and Howard left loads of wonderful recommendations for nearby places. We walked not only to Golden Gate Park, but to the best bakery for almond croissants and to all the shops and restaurants on Clement. And the buses on Arguello are very convenient. It was amazing having a good size garage to park in, in the City. The bed was comfortable, though felt more like a double than a queen. And the kitchen sink took a bit of bending to use. But we’d stay there again easily.

Good location for exploring San Frans either by buses or car. Garage a great bonus and just a short drive to exerience golden gate bridge and lovely Muir area beyond. Host very friendly, helpful and close by which proved really great.

The apt was clean and well furnished. It was in a very convenient location. so nice to have parking. The kitchen has a microwave, mini fridge, coffee maker, electric teapot and a sink. The kitchen is well equipped.

Great location, comfy accomodations and our host was superb -giving us guides to local food and sights that were absolutely perfect. Highly recommend! Having a garage parking spot was a super bonus.

The host greeted my family in person and made sure they had everything they needed. When a massive power outage in the city took out most of the surrounding blocks, he made sure we had flashlights and candles, just in case the rental might lose power (it didn't, by some twist of good fortune). It was the perfect location for us, and the stay was seamless.
