Located within 15 minutes of Beautiful Historic Beaufort, 15 minutes from Parris Island, and 45 minutes from the beaches of Hunting Island and Hilton Head, this waterfront getaway features 1 master bedroom with ensuite whirlpool tub and shower, a 2nd master bedroom with ensuite, and 1 triple twin bedroom, three full baths, a wonderful screened porch, and beautiful sun rises from our deep water dock. Crab, shrimp and fish right from the dock. Relax on the covered deck over the water while watching dolphins and stingray along with some extraordinary bird life including, Cranes, Herons, Pelicans and Egrets. Bring your kayak, paddle board and small craft and enjoy McCalley Creek! Take a trip from the dock to Hilton Head Island or Beaufort by the bay for some shopping and dining in your small craft. The home is centrally located between Savannah and Charleston. This is a great balance between peaceful country and access to Downtown Beaufort. At night enjoy beautiful views of our southern moon. Use the Gas Grill on the outdoor patio or relax in the screened in porch.

Nice getaway

Nice quiet place with a perfect driveway for the kids to ride bikes along with crabbing off the dock. Short ride to downtown, all around good stay

Pretty setting

The weather played a huge impact as it limited our overall enjoyment of our stay. However, the host was very responsive, the house was spacious and the setting (minus the snow!) was beautiful.

Very nice place

Great Place.

We enjoyed our stay. The dock is a grate place to fish, put a kayak in and watch the sun rise. large clean rooms and bedrooms. Would stay there again.

Perfect Lowcountry getaway!

Great property right on the water. Loved the back yard and the dock. The palmetto tree lined driveway, screened in porch were nice extras. Hope to stay here again!

Always a great visit!

This was our 3rd time staying at Sunmist cottage and it won't be the last. The house is comfortable, the location is breathtaking and Kevin and Jane are always accommodating and easy to reach if need be! Thank you both for another great vacation!

Nice Location

Enjoyed our stay out in the country. House was a little dated, needed to have the carpet replaced and some TLC performed to the interior & exterior. But we all enjoyed ourselves with the stay.

Nice Getaway

Stayed here on our father-son fishing trip. Property was just as advertised. Secluded and quiet but still close to Restaurants and shops. House was very clean and plenty of room. Host was friendly, quick to respond. Would definitely recommend this property!

Wonderful Home

We stayed at Kevin and Jane’s house for a month and had a fabulous time. The house met all our needs and the dock was beautiful. Kevin responded to all our questions promptly. We would definitely stay here again.

Family Friendly

We had a wonderful time on our stay here! Lots of fishing and fun with the kids. Teens and littles had a blast! Lots of fun stuff to do in town. Close to everything. House was very clean and had everything we needed for our week stay.

Perfect home away from home

My family and i couldn't have picked a better place for our stay in beaufort. Location was excellent, the house was very spacious and supplied with all the bare essentials. The owner was quick to respond to any questions we had and was very helpful. Ill Definately be choosing sunmist cottage for our trip next year.

Peacefull and relaxing

We stayed at Kevin and Jane's home for 4 days. We had been traveling for quite a while and needed a few days of respite. The view ( especially from the screened porch) was wonderful. They were very helpful with any questions that we had. We enjoyed our stay and would like to return..

Roomy, comfortable and private

My husband and I stayed for a very relaxing week. Large piece of property that was located right on the water. Fishing (big one got away) crabbing and with dolphins swimming by and an otter! The king bed was very comfortable and the house was large and set up well. Love the area and Savannah only an hour away. Highly recommended for a couple or large family. Dogs are welcome. We loved hanging in the screened porch and out on the dock.

Nice and Quiet

Nice, quiet home for us to enjoy while here visiting our son, daughter-in-law and their new baby. <3 We loved the decorations throughout the house and really enjoyed the dock in the backyard. We even had a few "adventures" like figuring out how to make the coffee maker work without a power button and adopting the giant spider on the back porch as our temporary "pet". Owners were very quick to kindly answer all my questions and check in/check out were super easy. Thank you again for a perfect stay!

Wonderful property for families in a great location. The view-absolutely heavenly! Gracious hosts!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Sunmist Cottage. Kevin & Jane are accommodating, gracious and very caring Hosts. We can't thank them enough for their hospitality and arranging those heavenly sunrises and sunsets😉 The memories made with my children and grandchildren while there will be treasured forever. Relaxing stay on the river

The property has everything we needed for our family of 4 and 2 dogs. It was pretty clean, but not pretentious, which allowed us to be comfortable with our stay. The cordage is conveniently located close to beautiful downtown Beaufort and made for easy day trips to Charleston and Savannah, as well as Hunting Island and Edisto beaches. The charm of Sunmist is definitely in the dock, where we enjoyed using crab pots, seeing dolphins pass, and some of the most lovely sunrises over the salt Marsh. The abundant yard made an excellent play land for our family and our dogs. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Sunmist cottage.

Great Property for Families

This property is as described. The outside is amazing for views, fishing, crabbing, or just laying on the dock all day. The inside is spacious and other than a few maintenance issues seemed to be clean. Owners were very responsive to any needs we had. This is perfect for the family that wants a self-contained get-away as you can rent some kayaks and get out on the water without having to "beach it" everyday. However, we split our time between the two...Hunting Island and just hanging out on the dock. Thanks for the great time!

Older home needs updating and some repairs. Had to clean screened in porch…. Before I could use it. The rest of the house was clean. Overall we enjoyed our stay. Loved the fishing dock. Caught lots of fish.

Perfect Weekend Getaway with Million-dollar Views

We cannot say enough about this peaceful getaway!! The views alone are enough to give it 5 stars. My husband, daughter and I had the most wonderful and relaxing weekend away in Kevin and Jane's wonderfully decorated, perfectly located and roomy home on the marsh in Seabrook. Not far from Beaufort and Hunting Island, must go to Lady's Dockside if you love seafood!! Everything you need is provided, I always take my own towels because most places don't provide enough, next time I will leave them home as there are plenty provided. Very clean and the screened in back porch and the dock were our favorite spots to hang out. We are looking forward to a return trip soon we hope!!

Wedding Trip

House was not clean, family members dusted and cleaned bath rooms upon arrival. Screened in porch door screen flapped in the wind.The location was great for our purpose but our comfort level was less than optimal due to the cleanliness issues.
