Perfect Sparta Stay

The house is very cute and clean. The location was perfect for our quick trip visiting family. The hosts were super friendly, informative and flexible on check-in/check-out as there were no guests directly b4 or after us! I would definitely recommend!!

Beautiful riverfront home

The home on the LaCrosse River in Sparta, WI is beautiful. The hosts are super friendly and easy to contact. My family of 4 (and our little dog) had a great time relaxing.

Charming cottage.

I’m so glad I chose this property for staying over as I traveled to Lake Superior and back. It was perfect for my needs. Very pristine, like new, with many charming touches. Very comfortable, and I appreciated my dog being welcome. Loved the back deck. Would be very happy to stay here again.

Charming pristine cottage

Beautifully restored historic cottage. As described and pictured. Many charming touches. Everything seems new and pristine. It is in town, but back yard with river is beautiful. I enjoyed the deck which is gated in case guest has little ones or pets. Stayed on my way to northern Minnesota and staying again on my way home.

Charming & Cozy!

Property was exactly as advertised. The decor and upgrades were nostalgic and classy. Topped with a huge lawn and amazing deck overlooking the river ! The only thing missing was sunshine but we’ll be back!

Cozy, Comfortable, and Clean Stay!

We had a wonderful stay at this cozy and comfortable home in Sparta. The home is extremely clean and well cared for. We slept very comfortably and enjoyed the fire pit and serene backyard with the river view. We would absolutely stay here again!!

Another great stay at the Mill House! Perfect location for our annual trip to Sparta. Close to our event, bike trails, and park/aquatic center. Peaceful neighborhood, clean house, stocked with all essentials. We will be back next year!

Peaceful retreat

We were in the area for a family reunion and the Mill House was very convenient for that. We loved the house and property. Waking up in the morning and sitting on the deck watching the creek was a perfect way to start the day. House was clean and lived up to its description. Owners were very accessible and helpful. Looking forward to a return visit. Thank you for sharing the property.

Kevin and Deborah Moore have been remodeling for over 40 years and have restored several residential and commercial buildings. Currently own and operate Ginny's Cupboard restaurant in historic downtown Sparta, Wisconsin. With their two sons now out of the nest it became time to finish the remodeling of this historic site. In the Driftless region of Wisconsin, Sparta drew the Moore's some 30 years ago and they have not regretted it since! They know you too will fall for the beauty and lifestyle of the region.

Arguably the best site in the City and certainly one of the most convenient to all activities. The rush of the LaCrosse River over the rapids located on property is all you need to begin relaxing and enjoying your stay. Proximity to Fort McCoy, LaCrosse, Amish and cheese country, and the multiple bike/snowmobile trails assure activities for all. New 2014 water park and pool in town, indoor ice arena, Bridge Path boasting 5 unique pedestrian bridges through the interconnected local park system. Nationally recognized historic downtown district for shopping and dining within 4 blocks of the Mill House. Old time rootbeer stand two blocks away and Beer Shop in the next block. In short-something for eveyone whether it be business or pleasure-and convenient for all!

Well developed and maintained park system in town also hosts Legion Baseball on the 5 fields in Memorial Park. In addition to the LaCrosse River, Beaver Creek and Farmer's Valley Creek also wind through the community. Public River Run Golf Course and new water park for family fun! Check the Chamber website and hit one of the great area festivals as well-Butterfest in June locally and Warrens Cranfest in September being two of the largest. Outstanding in any season, come see the fall colors too!
